Who really give the first ruby quartz glasses to Scott?

    - I’ve read on Uncanny X-Men #40, where his origin is describe, that it was his ophthalmologist.
    - Then on Legacy it was said it was Mr Sinister posing as his advisor and experimenting on him.
    - And on his recent “X-Men: Origins” one-shot it’s shown that it was Xavier.

So, who really give him the glasses?!
Well, given that Origins is the most recent, we could assume that one.

That said, marvel.com still lists the first one.

    Cable #23
    Deadpool Team-Up #896
    Wolverine: Weapon X #10
X-Men Noir: Mark of Cain #3

And maybe Ultimate X #1. Not sure if that's going to end up being one of the X-Books.

Default Cable and Apocalypse time travel question....

Why didn't Cable just time travel back to when Apocalypse was just a baby and kill him then?

Or why didn't Apocalypse time travel back to when Jean/Cyclops were born and kill them then?

For Apocalypse, I don't think he can time travel. Even if he could, though, he's all about survival of the fittest. If you kill someone when they're a baby, you're not giving them a chance to become fit. Runs against your own goals.

As for Cable, how would he know exactly when Poccy was born? All we know is that it was about 3000 years ago. Unless he's planning on slaughtering every male child in ancient Egypt over the course of a few hundred years, he's flying blind.

En Sabah Nur came across Ship (Circa 1100-1300 A.D.) and, thru "Ship" he could time travel. If he did or didn't is neither here nor there. We do know Cable did though...

Ship, again. Cable could have learned the time/location that way. I'm just saying

He did kill Apocalypse before Apocalypse became what we know--with the Celestial tech and all. However, Cable's blood was used to revive him (using its techno-organic properties).

Apocalypse hasn't used time traveling. I don't know if Ship is capable of it (such a thing never came up in X-Factor, for example).

Bc the issue of time travel is inconsistent and would be a convenient mess if it were that simple. Basically, you cant change the future by changing the past. That only diverges the timelines and creates an alternate future.

That's not really a hard-and-fast rule. For example, Doctor Doom's time platform doesn't seem to have that consequence.

Once upon a time, it was argued that Cable's actions would affect the past. After he supposedly killed Apocalypse at the end of the Search for Cyclops, Cable returned to the future and found it changed. However, since then, we know Apocalypse survived, so Cable must have gone to the wrong future.

    Not really an X-related question.

The very first phrase I wrote was time travel is inconsistent. You just proved my point

It does not, considering your primary goal is your own survival.

I don't think you truly appreciate the benefits time travel grants. We know that Cable has pinpointed the general time of Apocalypse's birth. Go back with a portable Cerebro unit. TacoLips is going to stick out like a sore thumb. Track him down, then keep on time traveling until you get the precise date.

But of course, Cable wouldn't do this, because such an act is absolutely evil.

Not if it's Apocalypse from his earlier appearances. His survival, though important, was not his primary goal.
