Let's set bad comics on fire from Atop the Fourth Wall
I'm sick of this thread.
I'm sick of this board.
This has been going on for YEARS, misdirection, out-and-out lies, it's all just disgusting.
I'm taking a stand.
I'm going to make things right.
Gail Simone's real name is: Tamryn Scrupples.
There you go.
It's all over.
We can lock up the board now.
It's on his blog, at this post.
I walked right into that one.
He's got the wrong name on the receipt?! Dang.
"We must fight on!"
"We'll die. We fight and we die, that's how it goes."
"Then we die gloriously!"
"There's an important word there, and it's not gloriously."
- Only You Can Save Mankind
I couldn't let this stand. Quotes from the end of Olney's blog.
Ricky-Boy, you are just the gift that keeps on giving. I love it when a talentless, horse's ass/poseur criticizes an Indy Artist (who in general work at least one other job--while drawing the most time-consuming thing there is to do in your comic book) for being slow, or lacking talent--after YOU hired them based on that talent.Jim Taylor: You're the S-L-O-W-E-S-T, most insecure comic book artist that I have ever met. You actually never delivered anything that didn't have to have ... or need touch up by Jeff Austin. Laugh that off, oh bulbous one.
Nothing says 'class' more than not paying someone for their hard work, then bitching about the job they did--when it's objectively good, solid, learned work--that he continues to do.
Didn't Jeff ink JT? Sometimes the 'mesh' between an inker and penciler has to be fixed, to make it look right as finished product. As great and immensely talented as Jeff is, I had to fix some of his inks on a project of mine--because, either the scans I made of the pencils were blown out, or the combination of me and him was just wrong on a face or a figure, here or there. Sometimes Jeff 'fixed' things, and I returned them to the way I wanted them--or, in a couple of instances, left his corrections alone. Perhaps, like with JT, less than 5% of the work was that 'back and forth'--an organic process between people who know what they're doing. It's the process of making sure everything is as right as it can be. It's 'nuts and bolts' shit that you've never paid attention to, and as usual, you have no clue what the fuck you're talking about. It's 'sour grapes' from a deadbeat. A talentless, work ethic-naive, poseur of a deadbeat.
So, they/we apparently have a lot of power, or none at all? Thanks for the clarity, you miscreant. In closing -- YOU each are the reason; the reason NOBODY is getting dealt with regarding work they claim to have done for me versus the people that they interacted with directly. All the bemoaning in the world isn't going to change that. The personal attacks by each of you are all forgiven by me. I don't find myself sticking my nose in the direction of your foul smelling words as often these days. You simply don't matter.
No, dude--you instigated this. You chose not to take responsibility for your actions, and good, noble, righteous people challenged you over it. Free will, is real, and your hands are not tied, unless you're living in your van (as many suspect). They've brought you to a crossroads. You can either seek redemption, chose to do good for a change and pay what you owe, or sluff off to whatever hole you crawled out of, never to be heard from again. But we will be here to make sure you never wrong another creator again. We know you're dodging debt collectors.
"In closing -- YOU each are the reason; the reason NOBODY is getting dealt with regarding work they claim to have done for me versus the people that they interacted with directly. Except for telling us every day how you're not posting on this subject again.
No one reads your dumbass blog but us, Rick. Even when you were at comicon, you were an illiterate fanboy joke, so stupid, obnoxious, and full of shit that even your NAME is banned forever.
And no one believes for a moment you'd ever pay anyone. You're a deadbeat to your core, which seems to be in your genetics, now, doesn't it?
Also, quit bemoaning, everybody! It's inferiorating everyone!

pRick has got to be the most self-destructive individual I have ever encountered. Not only does he openly mock his own Christianity by sniping at all and sundry, but he fills his own posts with the very evidence that others have against him. Anybody he reaches out to for support via his blog will of course come over to this place(and all the others he bitches about) to see what all the yelling is about. I'm wondering who he thinks his blog audience is, and what his opinion of them is, because the only way his postings could make any sense at all is if his audience is extremely gullible and incapable of linking to any website other than his own.
I've met a lot of liars like Rick. They get so in love with their own voice they believe everyone will fall for their bullshit under any circumstances.
He has no idea he's only digging his hole deeper.

I was just writing a thank you note to MidSouthcon.
Again, a very small con by today's standards, and man, the contrast between when you have a group of dedicated, hardworking organizers who know what they're doing, and an egomaniacal control-freak with no money, experience, brains or skills is just enormous.
People can't stop recommending this convention to their friends. Whereas people left Rick's shitty Mini-con warning people to stay as far away as possible.
It's amazing the difference integrity and brains makes.
