I have never been a big fan of this thread either...just throwing my two cents in.

If it were not for that thread there would be no Unscrewed. Without Unscrewed there would be a dozen Olney orphans that wouldn't have received aid of any kind. Without Unscrewed I wouldn't have just helped a freelancer recover almost 10K in unpaid debt.

Seriously, get the hell over yourselves. This thread has done a lot of good, and could continue to. Instead, there's all of a sudden these inane complaints about it existing by people who didn't have the balls to say a word during the YEARS it existed here prior to the Exodus?

Look, I realize that several of you arguing with me here live to play the outraged victim, but there really does come a time when you just stop being amusing and just become straight out ridiculous.

I know that mostly people tend to avoid the headache of not playing along with your theatrics, but some of us have always preferred it when CBR wasn’t as stupid and overdramatic as the rest of the net.

So, fine, they won’t delete this thread, I don’t like it, but can live with it.

But yeah, I won’t pretend that it’s anything but the crapfest that it is.

As for Stillwell recovering somebodies cash, awesome news, glad to hear it.

But it has nothing at all to do with what this thread is actually all about.

While I mentioned it in the other thread, I neglected to mention in this thread (a screw-up on my part, sorry) that, for the moment at least, any discussions about the relative merits of this thread should, for the moment at least, be posted here (most of the meta-discussions about the thread have already been moved there).

Any posts actually concerning Olney's misdeeds should, of course, still be posted in this thread.

You seem quite determined to tell us what we should talk about here, and not, Rick. Why don't you give us an earful of POSITIVE subjects we should discuss?

Because, to be frank, all I have heard you do is spit your own brand of venom at people since Gail left the thread. I tried to be very respectful to you in my previous posts, and to understand your point of view. But this seems to be a trait you are lacking in. It's okay to say "I don't think you should be talking like that" or "That's a subject I feel we don't need to discuss". And your opinion is certainly welcome.

But "This thread hasn't done anyone any good and should be shut down" is not positive in ANY way. It does not recognize the good job people have done making sure moneys are recovered and a cheat is exposed. AND SINCE YOU SEEM TO IGNORE WHENEVER SOMEONE BRING THIS TO YOUR ATTENTION IS THE LAST FEW POSTS, LET ME MAKE SURE YOU CAN SEE IT CLEARLY. THE THREAD HAS DONE GOOD WORK IN THE PAST. YOU CHOOSING TO IGNORE IT DOESN'T CHANGE THAT FACT, SO YOU CAN STOP YOUR DANCING AROUND THE SUBJECT.

Is that clear enough for you to see???

And as for what I posted about Starr's weight, or his in-laws, looking through your past posts, entertaining as they've been in their hypocrisy, you never seem to complain much when pRick enjoyed taking his cheap shots at the friends and family of his victims. But you certainly seem to enjoy defending his family when someone decides to fight fire with fire.

If you have a problem with my "Chicago Way" of putting pRick in his place about he doesn't have a moral leg to stand on, then fine. Feel free to say so. But, and again, let me be clear since this is another issue you seem to enjoy swirling around the ballroom with, WHY ARE YOU STILL COMING IN HERE AND POSTING IF YOU WANT TO AVOID THE SUBJECT AND MAKE THE FREAKING THREAD DISAPPEAR??? That seems to make me want to revoke your Mensa card since it's a bit heady for you, don't you think??

I'm not a steel forger, so it seems to me if I don't like the smell and the heat of someplace like, I DON'T FREAKING GO IN THERE AND START SAYING HOW ALL THE WORKERS ARE IDIOTS. I don't like a chat room that deals with just ONE subject, I DON'T GO THERE ANYMORE. Does it really take a GED to figure that out???

Now, my rant is done. And yes. I'll be posting anything I find about Olney and his ilk on here anytime I find it. The rest of the time, I'll occasionally come back and read what vitriol you'll be spewing forth in your argument of coming into a room you don't like and telling people they should leave because..... you don't like it. Makes crystal clear sense to me to find you here doing that.

And please note, during my little tirade, I did not directly insult you, or use profanity. If you feel you need to stoop that low in your response and not give me the same respect I gave you, however small or fake you percieve it to be, then know that I am in your debt for showing me the error of my ways.. JUST AN UPDATE!

Just wanted to let you know that it was reported on the Jinxworld blog that pRick has opened a new blogspot account, "The Lies And Truth About Rick Olney". It's actually a pretty funny read, as long as you don't mind complete fiction.

On it he addresses us all about "all the scurrilous lies" we perpatrate to "keep a good man down", mentions most of us by name and accuses people of all the distorted slanders we say about him.

He also wrote his own version of the "Open Letter To The Comics Industry" like Unscrewed, has his little list of people who will obviously pay for what they've done to him.

Oh, and he IS accepting comments on this blog! Except you have to accept the fact that he isn't allowing comments to be posted until he reads them, and if he doesn't like what you have to say he won't allow it to post. He says you must "have an open mind before you post".
