Reading Scar Night by Alan Campbell at the moment. Pleasantly surprised by it.
My local Fnac (it's a store) was having some promotions and I grabbed The Lair of the White Worm (by Bram Stoker) and The Strain (by Guillermo Del Toro) both hardcovers for 3 dollars each.![]()
Velveteen by Daniel Marks.
The story seems quite interesting.
Agents of Artifice by Ari Marmell. I don't play much Magic the Gathering but the books I've read are alright, so I thought I'd get myself a Planeswalker novel. Jace Beleren is the main duder in this one, if that means anything to anyone. I'm also waiting on The Purifying Fire by Laura Resnick which is about Chandra Nalaar. I know a little bit more about her than I do Jace due to playing the card game with a red deck. Hopefully they'll both be good reads.
I picked up two books today.
J.A. Jance - Left for Dead
Joan Hess - Deader Homes and Gardens
"I can't complain. I got to be Jim Morrison for the first half of my life, and Ward Cleaver for the second half." - Warren Zevon.
Ellis's Gun Machine and Philip Jose Farmer's Tarzan Alive.
"'Kirby got a shitty contract too, so get over it' isn't a great tagline."
