The Lions Club had their yearly used books sale, so we customers have the double pleasure of collecting good stuff and seeing our money go to charity.

For a dollar each:

St. Augustine's Confessions
Catherine L. Moore's Shambleau
A. E. Van Vogt's The silkie and Rogue ship, the latter with a Henri Lievens cover
Richard Adams' Watership Down
Vonda McIntyre's Dreamsnake, a little battered,
and two Anticipation Fleuve Noir titles, one by Peter Randa, my favorite writer in that line of French SF novels.

I may go back for seconds, because of the volunteers working at the sale rold me they had many more boxes ready ro be opened and that at the end of the slae, most unsold books will be destroyed. A sin, I say!

So did you go back? Because that was a pretty good haul! Almost all of them are things I've thought about trying at one time or another but haven't yet gotten to.
