The adaptation of Robert Kirkman's ongoing Image zombie series "The Walking Dead" under the supervision of director Frank Darabont is one of two pilots that were announced as being greenlit today by the cable network.

Walking Dead TV series... What more do I need to hear?!? Thank god that someone still wants to make shows that are not "reality shows." I hope the show is rated M. If it was anything less than TV M, it would not live up to the series.

It seems they are rushing to get this out and done by the 2010 fall schedule. I know AMC does well with their October horrorfests . So I suspect were gonna see the show launch in October.
