Well yeah, but my point was he was talking about comic Gwen. I honestly don't care if you keep close to the source material for the movie, but if you are talking about the comic you should be kind of accurate for a character that wasn't in that many issues.

There are some evidence for both sides, PL does back up after SM, but most of the rest of the series does not. So whatever you want to believe I guess.

Before Parallel Lives, where did we see that MJ was after Spider-Man? Because she flirted with Spidey once?

Taking Parallel Lives into account, we saw MJ fell in love with Peter IN SPITE of him being Spider-Man.

The "MJ was in love with Spider-Man meme" is really from the Raimi movies. And really only the first one (we saw her profess her love to Peter at the end of the first one only for him to reject her).

Andrew and Emma chemistry is evident in the first pic. Second pic is hot because it is Emma Stone! Nothing intrinsically Gwen related about its appeal for me. In fact, Emma would have made a much hotter MJ-

Poor gal does some research and she ends up reading Sin's Past(!) Course, to be fair, how many trades are out there with Gwen as a big part? Spider-Man Blue? Death of the Stacys. Sin's Past. I'm reaching at straws here. I know she said in an interview the first thing she got was the Death of the Stacy's trade.

This is a question I'll never know the answer to, but I've always wondered if before she signed on the dotted line she knew Gwen was basically famous for getting tossed off the bridge by Gobby. Was it like, "Yay, my own superhero franchise I can roll with for ... hey, waitaminute!"

Oh, and does anyone else have a feeling that the scene where Pete reveals to Gwen that he has Spider-powers in this flick is going to be rather similar to how it was handled in the Pete / MJ scene in Ultimate Spider-Man #13? ("I'm Spider-Man." MJ laughs.) That scene that keeps popping up in the trailer ("you're a wanted man, Peter Parker." "I created him" and/or that "your doorman scares me" bit) seems similar to at least the setting that USM #13 was; Peter's bedroom (although it would be Gwen's bedroom here). Shades and influences of USM abound in what I've seen of the flick, if not quite a straight-up adaptation.

I'm really starting to wonder who the old guy is in the trailer. Someone said it could be Ezekiel. If it is, that would explain the whole "not an accident" thing. Though I'd hope that would be disproven if it is the case in the movie. I really hope they stay away from mystical crap. Maybe I'm just paranoid. The movie looks amazing.(pun not intended)

She probably was confused because in the Raimi movies the characters were portrayed so poorly (save JJJ) which heavily played down Mary's sluttiness.
