Damn, you totally figured me out. I must have my own real life Mary Jane, who calls me "tiger" all the time and who breaks up with me and gets back with me again and again.
Peter is an audience surrogate character. The "everyman." He's the guy who could be you.And I want her with Peter. Not me. *facepalm*

The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

Her death was I think more important than Uncle Ben's because of what it showed. It showed us that superheroes do make mistakes. Peter should've acted differently but he took action against a horror. It's his fault she died. And that guilt is such an important part of the character, that it continues to define who he is and what the superhero community as a whole is. Uncle Ben was just the start of everything. Gwen's death is so important.

Errm...yes. MJ has very good dialect. She's not as slutty as you make her out to be...though she does have some of that attractional way of doing things, sure. Just saying, MJ and Gwen aren't really all that different. At least not the originals. The ones in the Ultimate Universe were very differentiated. MJ was introduced only about a year after Gwen. They were both made in the sixties, where the women pretty much had the same personality, although some were smarter than others (Gwen over MJ, clearly). You can't really deviate from a personality that's set. You can dwelve deeper but most personalities stay the same. So, I do believe that the original Gwen and MJ are close.
