What would work better dramatically. If they killed Gwen and then had Aunt May try to set Peter up with MJ or if MJ was introduced before Gwen dies as the "other woman"?
The monster saved them all. And in their fear, they betrayed him. As they always have. As they always will.

    What "Gwen hate?"

It's acknowledging that Gwen will die.

No, it's acknowledging that the most famous Gwen Stacy story is the one where she died.

Ok, I just wanted to say that I think I was a bit too hard on Andrew Garfield's performance in the spider-man trailers and clips that have been released so far. And y'know, he could make a great PP/SM, I really do hope so, I don't want to see a bad Spidey movie.
I *was* a bit suspect that he and the movie were not portraying spider-man the way I perceive the character, and the whole thing felt a bit off to me, but perhaps my perceptions were a bit skewered by the fact that, on a certain forum I shall not name, there were a helluva lot of people just constantly bashing the previous trilogy, so that may have made me go a bit overboard by way of a comparative defence.

I'm sure he doesn't really gives a crap what I think as he counts his millions laughing, but just in case he was reading the boards and read any of my highly speculative pre-emptive bs observations, and it pissed him off, I am very sorry, I'm sure he is a nice guy and a fine actor and has put his heart and soul into the spidey gig.

ugly brain damaged real life spider-man is genuinely sorry.

Never knew he had a similar family to Connors, kinda makes him more fitting for the role

Something crossed my mind after go over the trade:

Do you guys think the scene with Spider-Man and the cops will mirror the scene in public scrutiny?

Just saw the new (or so I am assuming) 4 minute trailer on NBC. Maybe its old but it was new to me. Check it out if you have not seen it but there are a few more mysteries brought up in this one:

    1) Peter reveals himself to a kid (seems to me he does this on a couple of occassions in this movie)
    2) Gwen mentioned Peter Parker being "a wanted man" and then there are scenes where the cops appear to be chasing/shooting at Spider-Man. Does this mean she learns his identity? Or is it clever mixing of scenes? i feel it is the latter and that perhaps the line where she says "you're a wanted man" is cut from a different scene (maybe when she speaks to Lizard??)
    3) The effects and visuals seems very crisp and flashy, which is good. I just hope it all presents well on the big screen
    4) Seems like even more focus on the back story. Narration in this clip has Garfield/Peter mentioning having "made many enemies" and there are shots of Oscorp. It will be interesting to see where they fit in and how they tie Curt Connors in with mother and father (because they make it seem like there is a connection). I would be very happy with seeing it head in the direction of a sequel in which Gwen dies at the hands of the Green Goblin. Sure we would be seeing the same villain again BUT I think a lot can be done to make it a helluva story. Like Joker in the Dark Knight, I feel that Norman Osborn can be the type of character that (if casted well) could deliver a chilling maniacal performance. Here's hopin'. Either way, I am still very excited and loking forward to this flick.

Oh and I think Emma Stone makes a PERFECT Gwen Stacy. She works the blonde hair and has those big batty eyes that Gwen had. So far, she has been the best person to be cast, looks wise. The rest are all interesting and I'm not saying they are amazing...overall good cast. Garfield looks like he will pull it off, Rhys will be great, Ben and May are younger but whatever. And I think complaining about the lack of snout of the Lizard is silly. He is definitely still more Lizard than Scorpion.

Four minute preview of The Amazing Dark Twilight Lantern Man.

The special effects reminded me of Green Lantern. The whole "cops chasing Spider-Man" was straight from Nolan's Dark Knight saga (there's even a part where a guy asks "who are you?" and I swear I was wanting for him Bale to show up "I'm Batman"). The whole "father has secret" reminded me of Ang Lee's Hulk (there's a part where Connors is like "you think this happened to you by accident?"). Emma Stone is pretty much MJ (which makes no sense whatsoever).

Oh and that opening scene was probably the stupidest thing I have seen all year.

Anyone who doesn't like Miles Morales is a racist.

yeah it would've been better if tobbey was screaming 'ahh! uuh!! eep!!' right?

And first scene? it would've been better if it just exploded.

But dont worry one day your kid could be an actor and you can see it happen

for real. You'll get your wish. Dont lose hope.

Okay, I'm gonna call a technical foul on this so-called 4 minute preview. Because it wasn't, as it promotion for it implied, an actual four-minute long sequence from the movie; rather, it was a minute-and-a half (and obviously edited for time) scene showing the circumstances around Spidey holding the burning car--and yet ANOTHER instance of Spidey revealing his secret identity to some random stranger to boot, although, yes, it's perfectly understandable why he did so in the context of the scene--and the rest of it was really just a remixed and re-edited version of the 3rd trailer that came out two weeks ago. Not a cool move on Sony's part, IMO.

This movie needs Jonah so badly. I'm not even kidding in the slightest.
