To troll Jean fans yet again
That's what it's basically gonna be. This is the end of Hope the Savior story line, whether Hope continues as a character, who knows.
This is probably also the end of the extinction theme that has been running through out the mutant books since M-Day. There will be some kind of mutant boom at the end, whether it's new mutant babies being power or a massive repowerment on some scale, something will have to happen otherwise these last few years would be for naught.
I'm looking forward to this though, I've enjoyed the different direction going on, the extinction threat that looms overhead of every single death, it's really been a refreshing breathe from the normal "fighting for a world that hates and fears" dream. It'll be interesting to see how that becomes a focus again coming out of Second Coming.
It's about how Hope is this century's greatest invention.
