Posted this on the Blackest Night section of the Dc boards. That way maybe we can get a feel of how readers who are not usual WW customers saw the issue. We can vote too, of course

Honestly.
It was great to see Mera, as I've become a big fan since BN began. She comes off as a total badass, considering what she is facing.
I was absolutely thrilled to see Aphrodite, and to see her protecting Diana, saving her, and bringing her a weapon to fight Darkness. That was completely kickass.
Diana of course comes off well, in the end anyways. And BL Diana is someone no one would want to mess with, that's for sure.
Batman doesn't impress because he's not there. And he doesn't do anything.
But I couldn't answer between Mera, Diana, and Aphrodite. I was impressed and thrilled by all of their appearances, for different reasons.
Interesting experiment there, Brett, but you know, no one might care much on the DCMB or if you do get replies it might be a handful. That might be worse.
Honestly, in this issue I think Mera all things considering.
Diana fought hard but she got "help".
So Mera for me.
Gawd, those DC boards... I came here to flee the DC boards! Those people are... savages... even the "I hate your favorite character" thugs on CBR are more refined.
But as for BN WW # 2:
Meh. Yeah, it was nice detail-fill-in for what happened to Diana in BN 6.
I agree it gave Mera a good spotlight (maybe she'll be a prominent character in the future).
"Intellectually" the dream that freed Diana from the Black Ring was clever.
"Emotionally" seeing Donna and Cassie murdered was too intense to just say "didn't happen".
(Granted, I should be happy for the honesty. Usually when characters "die", three years later we're informed: "didn't happen")

According to Geoff Johns, she and Ray will both be big time players in Brightest Day. So, I'm looking forward to more Mera goodness, on a bi-weekly basis! :)
Honestly, when Cassie's heart was ripped out, I knew something was up. I didn't know it was Aphrodite, obviously. But I knew damn well that they weren't going to have Diana rip Cassie's heart out."Intellectually" the dream that freed Diana from the Black Ring was clever.

That was brutally depicted, though. Talk about bringing the hurt!
Just admit the truth, DF
You wish they had used Tom instead of Cassie. Donna would still have her "One of these things is not the like other one" line.
Then Tom would say "Me! I'm an Amazon too!"
And then Diana's hand punches through his chest LOL
Oh, and then Donna's line could chage to "Wait 'til he drops his guard, and then rip our his heart. That never gets old, does it?![]()

Well so far we have 6 votes - 5 people were most impressed with WW, 1 with Mera.
Of course, I notice that everyone who has bothered to vote reguarly appear here on the WW boards, so there is a teeny tiny chance that is affecting the data LOL
Mera, Wondy & Batgod
"Well, dip me in honey and throw me to the lesbians."
I loved the issue!! I'm still amazed so many people are angry about the Batman/WW thing since it CLEARLY states in the Blackest Night series that Bruce was the emotional tether for ALL the Heroes that were taken over that were not dead at the moment.
Greg GETS Diana. And Nicola Scott on art? *drool!!!*
