I hope a similar type of thread hasn't already been started, but if there isn't one already, this is the official all things animated AVENGERS thread. Let's discuss the upcoming animated series, the upcoming BLACK PANTHER animated (which premiers tomorrow in Australia),and past animated AVENGERS appearances. Here's the official trailer for the upcoming series http://link.brightcove.com/services/...tid=1849017750

Not crazy about the art, but I do love me some Founding Avengers [esp. when you add in Cap and the Hulk]. I wonder if Cap'll be the field leader or if Iron Man's gonna do all aspects of leading.

Iron Man's armor in particular could use a little more "modern" treatment.

I was thinking the same thing, wasn't impressed with Iron Man's armor as well!

I personally love the art style and the simplicity of it all.

Cap looks like kind of a mix of Ultimate Cap and regular but everyone else has these little modern/tech touches that look great. I also dig Pym's Giant Man outfit a lot as well.

I LOL'd at the bubba-keg-sized rocket boosters flipping out of the back of the armor. There is a person inside that armor still, right?

Was terrified we'd get an 'Ultimate' type of Cap sans wings and a dozen or so pouches but it looks like they went with the classic look.

Almost forgot about ol' Jade Jaws until the very end (oh....by the way....they're side by side with.....the Incredible Hulk!)

It's so odd to see the 6 of them together like that, this is almost like an awesome What If? story asking 'What if the Hulk stuck around past issue #2?'

I love it, looking forward to what looks like a fun series.

I think the part that weirds me out the most is Iron Man's face. Looks like a monkey in an iron suit.

Where/when will it air? Is it a series or a movie?

The art is weird. Like the concepts were drawn with someone with MS but then production just went with it, instead of cleaning it up and making everything symmetrical.

And while I think Giant Man looks the most awesome he's ever done, I think Wasp looks like a 6 year old kid.

I also want Hawkeye in this...

This is definitely a TV series. As for when and where this will air, that hasn't been announced yet. However, if I were to take a guest, I would say that this movie will first air internationally (like WOLVERINE AND THE X-MEN and the upcoming BLACK PANTHER cartoon). It wouldn't surprise me if this series started airing sometime this year internationally and start airing in the US in 2012 (the year that the live action movie is supposed to be released).

If i've learned anything from Spectacular Spiderman its let the story be the defiing point, not the animation. This could be huge, but it would be good for marvel to get all their properties under one roof so i can get my secret wars 1 movies (and no not the spiderman TAS version either)
