Kind of a dick move, although that's the intent, so kudos!
The Punisher: I’m going to cauterize your rectum, sealing it shut, so when you turn those delicious Pink Pants™ Fruit Pies into waste products the bilirubin in your feces will leach into your bloodstream and you’ll die screaming! And I’ll watch while having sex with this grateful prostitute!

Trussed-Up Hooker: Blueberry are my favorite!

In other words, what StoneGold said.

It wouldn't be a dick move if they took ANY comics from that month, but, yeah, limiting it to those six DC comics qualifies.

It makes you think what Marvel really thinks of DC

Am I the only one confused about how this helps Marvel? Because they're asking for 50 stripped covers, it seems like it may end up encouraging some retailers to buy a lot more DC comics to get one Marvel variant cover comic.

How is this helpful to Marvel's sales now?
Techcitement, the feeling some of us get when we discover some new (or even old and unfamiliar) tech. It’s also the name of a website with reviews and opinions on tech products and solutions, along with stories about how technology affects our every day lives from fitness to politics. Basically, if it's tech-related and excites us, we write about it.

Yeah. It seems more likely that retailers would want to order more of those DC titles in order to get the Marvel variant.

Unless Marvel is trying to prove some weird point about their power in the market.

These six comics all came out in November (give or take), as part of the toy power ring promotion. I don't think retailers can order any more.

Ah, if that's true, then I get why Marvel's doing it.

    It's a stunt.
Knew that, but just didn't know what for until now.

So retailers didn't make buying the books a condition of getting the rings?

ie. You buy the book, you get a ring?

I think that's their own fault for getting stuck with books then.

But geez, Marvel really are a bunch of dicks determined to dominate the market by killing it, aren't they?
    I'm not you.
    So you know I'm right.

Now THAT is how you troll. Is the cover going to be Wade holding a white lantern?
The Large Hadron Collider on the France-Switzerland border inadvertently will crush the Earth out of existence (unlikely, but at least humanity's final thought would be, "Blame the French")

It's a dick move pointing out a dick move. But do you think any retailer is going to complain? I mean, other than the remaining fanboy retailers who root for one side over the other?

Or complain that they actually sold their copies already and can't get the variant.
