Who is more powerful between Apocalypse and Mr Sinister?

I've always thought it was Apocolypse, yet have seen some impressive feats from Sinister recently that have made me suspect otherwise.

Sinister isn't even in TacoLips' league, which is why he was trying to create an anti-Taco weapon.

I have addressed this several times... in present 616 continuity Sinister and Apocalypse have never confronted eachother. At least not to my knowledge... for a while I thought this would be an explosive story if it were to happen.

Apocalypse ruled the ancient world and was worshipped as a god on several occasions

Sinister hid in the shadows and worshipped Jean Grey

Apocalypse snatches up C-list X-Men, twists them up to make them badass and cool, and he gave Wolverine his adamantium back. He takes the weak and makes them strong. When his henchmen fail he comes back with new ones.

Sinister re-clones the Marauders time and time again even though they constantly at their tasks, thinking each new time will bring different results.

A weak, near-death Apocalypse can take out six x-men in under sixty seconds even though he passed his prime centuries ago.

Sinister got killed by a baby.

Who's the real winner...?

Hard to say. Sinister has made himself incredibly powerful over the years. And Apocalypse USED to be a great powerful shapshifting being until they retconned him into a hideous, scrawny, old twerpy thing in a big metal suit. (Do the other writers even still go by that? Or even know about it?)

I'd say Sinister is smarter than Apocalypse though.

Oh and so far Miss Sinister ain't working for me. She looks hot but that's about it. Carey wrote a great Sinister.

Though Sinister did create the ultimate mutant.....Nathan. He never had access to Celestial technology like Apocalypse.

Apocalypse (as its spelt) has lived for centuries as an immortal no one can kill that old blue-cockroach, creating devastation with his horsemen. Sinster's best act was die by baby Goo and becoming a transexual alcoholic. Apc wins.

But the really question is could they defeat Selene and her hyberbolianage black magiks.

Sinister is less powerful, yet ironically gets beaten like a schoolboy far less. The perks of being a behind-the-scenes schemer, I guess. Poccy can't resist wading in for a good fight, and always gets his ass handed to him as a result.

Only because the 'bad guys' are never allowed to win in comics. I mean, En Sabath Nur is what, 5,000 years old with the technology of the Celestials and molecule-manipulating level psionics, and somehow he can't ever win except in alternate realities, where of course he is just ripped in half by his magnetism-controlling adversary(I guess he never saw that one coming). Someone like him, whose goal is nothing less than the final destruction of the weak, can not be allowed to win. Its not that he's incompetent, he's just too evil and too powerful to let him do his thing.

How does a '404' error have to do with Apocalypse's "image" of power?

Also, Apocalypse was only created because when Marvel decided to go ahead with the original X-Factor, the writers wanted to use the "Owl" crime lord from days past.

That was nixed and at the last minute the artist drew a fugly big man in the shadows.
