I'd be interested in seeing where they will go with this if it is true.

I'm still kinda stunned by all this. I'm fine with the idea of new blood, now we're gonna have an entire new cast, director, EVERYTHING.

    WOW!!!!

I can't believe it. I know Spider-Man 3 was not well recieved by the fans, but damn, I never thought they'd have the balls to reboot.

I'm delighted though. After three movies, I'm glad to have a new direction and a new vision. Not to mention some new talent.

Goodbye Kirsten Dunst, at long last.

I'm just hoping that the filmmakers keep the colorful aspects of Spider-Man's world, instead of trying to make this into another version of The Dark Knight.

Perhaps we'll get a more comic accurate version of The Green Goblin and MJ out of this.

Surprised but not stunned. I think we will ultimately get a better movie out of this.

As long as there are no more Power Ranger costumes, snowboards, big time casting mistakes and ridiculously stupid dance #'s, I'm in.

Where does it say new director?

If Spider-Man is going to be a high school student, that strongly suggests a new cast and a reboot. Sensible. Try to latch on to the high school drama/angst Twilight craze.

Though it could also be a tease. Maybe Tobey Maguire will be teaching high school as in JMS' run in the next movie.

Yes, that is the best news about this.

Seriously, the possibilities for this are endless. Are they still gonna have Green Goblin? Are they gonna introduce Gwen Stacey earlier? Is it Ultimate Spider-man: the Movie?

I just hope it gets a director of Sam Raimi's caliber.

Soooo, we are gonna get another Uncle Ben dies, wow check out my new powers, learn them all over again blah, blah, blah.

Spidey 3 wasnt that good, but the first two were great....no need to reboot anything.

Everybody is gonna see how good Tobey was as Spider-Man, when they cast some lame ass who can't act.

not interested in a new Spidey reboot...especially what'll probably be a new darker, all serious Spidey to out dark the dark night.

For the record, while I agree MJ was terribly cast and the Green Goblin was done terribly, I still suspect those first two Spider-Man movies are never going to be able to be topped.

There is almost nothing any director could do to make a Spider-Man movie better than Spider-Man 2.

They posted a link to "Sony rebooting Spider-man in 2012!", and they don't seem to be disputing it.

And I really enjoy the first two Spider-man films, with Spidey 2 being in my top 3 comic movies ever(along with Batman Begins and the Dark Knight).
