Rest in peace, Ronnie. "Legendary" isn't close to describing your impact on music.

Wow, this is devastating news, someone on another forum put it best i think, we've lost one of the founding voices of Metal.

I was out visiting relatives all morning and afternoon yesterday but when I finally returned home and read the news about RJD's death, I was in shock.
My heart sunk and I just couldn't believe it.

I listen to a Black Sabbath & Rainbow Era Dio & solo Dio CDs everyday at work and I never get tired of his songs.

    Rock In Peace Ronnie.

    Default The Last Dio Recording....

"Shortly before he was diagnosed with stomach cancer, late Heaven & Hell singer Ronnie James Dio recorded a track with his cousin and Elf bandmate, David “Rock” Feinstein. That song, which is aptly titled “Metal Will Never Die,” has surfaced on YouTube. It’ll appear on David’s upcoming solo album, Bitten By The Beast, which will be released by Ronnie’s wife’s company. Find “Metal Will Never Die” by searching for it on YouTube. "

The hate-mongering asswipes known as the Westboro Baptist Church are claiming that they're going to picket a memorial service for Ronnie James Dio.

I say "claim" becuase they were supposed to picket the service of a local soldier killed in Iraq, but they pussied out. I suspect they'll do the same at Dio's service.

    I found out yesterday.

I was left speechless. I had the chance to see him live 4 years ago, and it was awesome.

Rest in Peace, man. You will never be forgotten.

Goodbye León (november 16th, 1993 - june 12th, 2009). You were, are and always will be the best friend I ever had. I will always love you and never forget you. And please, please forgive me.

Thank you for teaching me about love, patience and caring. Rest in Peace, my friend. I hope that wherever it is you are now, you can run and play as much as you want.
