Default Wrestling: Postmania II, Battle Royale

This is a thread to discuss wrestling topics.

If you want to post a review, it goes here. If you want to discuss a pay-per-view event, it goes here. If you want to discuss general wrestling topics, whatever they may be, they go here. If you want to insult someone, you do not come here.

You will be respectful to others at all times. Even if you find what they say completely offensive/stupid/laughable/shocking, you will not call them names or make excessively rude remarks. That goes for passive-aggressive remarks in the same vein too. If you can't stand someone, learn to not respond to that person. While chat threads can often have looser guidelines, it's still a good idea to follow these rules.

Enjoy yourselves, but act like decent people while doing so.
Techcitement, the feeling some of us get when we discover some new (or even old and unfamiliar) tech. It’s also the name of a website with reviews and opinions on tech products and solutions, along with stories about how technology affects our every day lives from fitness to politics. Basically, if it's tech-related and excites us, we write about it.

Right. And right on not trying to race to it. Don't do that.

I'm sure we won't. But as ya can tell , on a busy wrestling night or news day... your gonna see a ton of posts happen. Thanks for posting the new thread. Even though I am let down... we were so close to 40,000.

superecwfan1:The backstage attacks were likely linked to that guy who tried to take AJ Styles down and Kurt Angle threw outta the ring. I think for now TNA will keep the masked man secret til they get a name guy to be behind them and link them into what they were doing.

We did joke Bubba the Love Sponge was basically the KISS OF DEATH each time they went to him , a guy was laid out.

As I posted way before I can take Hall and Nash togethor. They make one fine comedy team. I can see them backstage joking and kicking ass.
We switched threads before I could reply.

They could be due to the guy who attacked AJ, but again there's no real build and the attacks themselves were skimmed over. They did no follow up, and really nothing was made of them to be of any importance. I figured they were due to the NWO (who btw have an automatic tag team shot, unless they are ignoring Money in the Bank... er Feast or Fired). But it would be nice if this is to be a storyline something was made of it, and there was none of that last night.

Bubba the Love Sponge may have been the kiss of death, but he also was beyond annoying. It's good to see that kissing Hogan's ass for years on the radio has gotten him another pay check and now he can kiss ass on live television.

But are Hall, Nash, and Waltman *shudder* a comedy team or a legitimate threat? Again Nash has a tag team title shot and they and the Nasty Boys got more TV time then any other tag team, including the champions who weren't even seen! I foresee a few months from now we are watching the Nasty Boys and the Outsiders fighting for the tag belts. It seems to make sense since again they are the two teams that got time, and outside of 3D (who were in Japan and not even on the show) were the only team to get any real mention or attention. The Guns thought they didn't get TV time before? They ain't seen nothing yet, brother!

How stupid is TNA for not running a new show Thursday, I just realized that their is nothing on this thursday...nothing all the new shows come back on the 14th and 21st, you have free reign to sell people like me on your show.

Eh, they probably want to make sure all their fans who didn't see it Monday can still watch their show.

Given their increased roster size I do think they could do something new though.

    From HeadKickLegend

Shinsuke Nakamura, who wrestles for New Japan Pro Wrestling, could make his return to FEG action. Last seen against Alexy Ignashov, derailing the Supernova's rise to fame and sending him on an awful downward spiral. Nakamura is the current IWGP Heavyweight Champion, a title whose lineage dates back to wrestler-turned-fighter-turned-personality Antonio Inoki. The rumored bout? A retirement match against Musashi, who received a rather low key farewell against Jerome Le Banner in Korea last September. While that bout was generally believed to be his retirement, the Japanese fighter served many years as the figurehead Japanese heavyweight kickboxer in K-1 and K-1 would see the value in a hometown farewell.

How much of that 3-hour show wouldn't have been better with just video packages and edits, run it through the entire episode. 3 new 20 minute matches is all it would have taken to get me to tune in. All I know is that was TNA's best chance at pulling me in as a fan and they lost me.

I disagree, for the simple reason that there's no possible payoff. Lashley can't wrestle his wife on TV. At some point, you'd need Krystal to leave big bad Bobby and join up with another wrestler just so that there could be an in-ring conclusion to the story, but then Bobby would have to talk for himself at some point, and that would ruin everything right there.

And secondly, Lashley isn't selling that he disagrees with his wife, or that he's too whipped. He just stands in the background, grinning like an idiot, completely contradicting whatever is going on. He looks like he's hanging out in line for a corndog, not participating in a TV show. This week isn't the first week he's done it, either. If it was, I'd write it off. But he's consistently clueless when it comes to this sort of thing, and undermines whatever he's trying to do.

Since TNA had AJ vs Angle for the title last night what's going to be the main-event for Genesis? TNA shot themselves in the foot here.

Despite the horrible first hour last night, I think this is truly where they dropped the ball. They should capitalize on any hype they have by putting on another show.

On second though, maybe hiring fucking X-Pac is worse.
