Can't wait for the Luke Cage / Mickey Mouse Team-Up!

    WRITTEN BY BRIAN MICHAEL BENDIS

LUKE CAGE: Ah hell naw! I can't believe that $%^@ Norman *&^%# Osborn got us all locked up behind bars in his H.A.M.M.E.R. Helicarrier! Sweet Christmas!
MICKEY MOUSE: A HA HA! Speaking of Christmas, did you know I stared in Mickey's Christmas Carol? I'm surprised Disney is making another movie based on that story. I mean Jim Carey is a fine actor, but he's no Scrooge McDuck A HA HA!
LUKE: Man shut the *%$#@ up rodent! Of all the characters I could get locked up with I have to wind up with *&^%$ Mickey. IS LUKE GONNA HAVE TO SLAP A MOUSE?
MICKEY: Aw shucks Mr. Luke Cage. I think we can get along REEEEALLY SWELL!
LUKE: Man whatev... So am I gonna have to teach you how to fight like I taught Spider-Man in that Web of Shadows video game?
MICKEY: A HA HA! Don't worry Mr. Luke Cage! I can take care of myself. I'm about to appear in a new game called Epic Mickey where I think I go after some meanies who don't eat their vegetables or something like that A HA HA! Besides, I got the perfect Mousekatool for this situation!
    LUKE... MOUSEKAWHA...
MICKEY: Aw you don't watch Mickey's Clubhouse?
LUKE : ....Nah but I seen House of Mouse a few times.... Don't tell nobody 'kay?
MICKEY: A HA HA! Here's the perfect Mousekatool to help get us out of here! The Keyblade!
LUKE: Wait you got the Keyblade?
    MICKEY: You betcha'!
LUKE: The one from Kingdom Hearts?
    MICKEY: Rightarooney!
LUKE: The one you used to kick @$$ in Kingdom Hearts II?
    MICKEY: Yep! That's the one!
    LUKE: You got the Keyblade?
    MICKEY: That's right!
LUKE: .....So you got the Keyblade?
    MICKEY: ....
    MICKEY: .......
    MICKEY: ...........BENDIIIIIS!!!!!!!!

(ROFL I know stuff like this won't really happen but it's fun to think about. )
Currently Enjoying: Amazing Spider-Man, Justice League, Mega Man, Skull-Kickers, Shonen Jump

Honestly, I think it will be a few years before this even affects the publishing division and even then it most changes will have to do with distribution and marketing. Disney isn't going to step and say "X-Force is too violent" or "Spider-man must be married". Remember, publishing accounted for only like 10% of Marvel's revenue, Disney main concerns are licensing, movies, animation and tv.

I cheered when they announced this originally, I'll celebrate heavily tonight.. wait.. what? The whole WORLD is partying tonight over it, even Dick Clark!

Per the above Bendis speak, let's hope the Mouse raises the bar for the comics rather than just lowers it down to the current standards to appeal to the LCD.

I kind of suspect that, at the end of the day, this will change a lot less than people think.

Maybe with Disney dollars in Marvels pocket, Marvel will be able to give a good but struggling titles like cap Britain, runaways, or doc voodoo a little more of a chance to catch on.

Would we eventually need to worry about this when Disney is in charge of the movie adaptations?
