Yep, I'm going to give this one a shot.
"The City of Khazan, the central nexus of Omniverse. Eventually all travellers find it. For some, the total of their interaction is a glimpse of towers in the sky, dotted amongst the clouds, they dismiss it as light and shadow or some other completely rational explanation, to others it is a dream, an achievement, something they spend their whole lives attempting to find, but they fail, and to some, the lucky few, though "lucky" is highly subjective term, it is home.
The city itself is infinite, an infinite thriving metropolis contained within finite walls, infinity packed into a diameter of some hundred miles across. Understandably this presents quite a mathematical problem to anyone who thinks about it for more than a minute, hence the city works on the basis of observation, that is; if it is observed then it exists, if it isn't then... well then it's something else. Hence from the outside the city is constantly shifting and changing, buildings folding into, out of and through one another without any kind of regard for any conventional laws of physics.
The pride of the city, of Khazan itself is the famous arena wherein the greatest battles in the Omniverse are fought. The arena itself also shifts size to accomodate the crowd, the fighters and whatever else the creators of said conflict have decided to include. This only serves to add to the heaving, rippling, churning, kick-to-the-teeth of physics that is Khazan.
Now, the most important thing within Khazan, aside from gateways to everywhere and anywhen, shops that cover the entire bredth of imagination, the largest collection of bars and pubs in one place in the known Omniverse and beings from every possible walk of life one could imagine, was the group known colloquially by the locals as the Rumblers.
The Rumblers, named doubly so for their penchant for hanging around the arena and fighting each other at the drop of a hat, were officially known as the Knights of Khazan. The Knights of Khazan were an elite force, not the absolute strongest or beings, nor the smartest, nor the most cunning or even the best in a moral sense. They were however the last line of defence for reality. They were the men and women who had, between them, seen it all before, done it all before and were still looking for new ways to do it. They went to the places that no mortal should go, they did things that no man should do and they drank things that no human should consume.
Amongst their ranks were gods, demons, concepts, warriors, teachers, smiths and a cornicopia of others. It was their job to safeguard the balances of the multiverses, to maintain the continued existance of everything and do what must be done. They sometimes worked in plain sight, sometimes behind the scenes, sometimes saving millions, sometimes dooming thousands. They did whatever it took to safeguard the future.
They were heroes and they were monsters but above all: they were The Rumblers.
There have been many ages of Knights of Khazan and this is but one story of one age."
Yeah, so if you made it through that I thought I'd give this a shot since it should be fun if we get enough people to sign up.
If you are interested then you must provide a character bio, I shall use my own as an example:
Name: Nik Hasta
Race: Deity. God Of Pirates and Seas.
Height (normally): 6'1"
Weight (normally): 13 stone
Physical description (Picture and description if possible):
Nik Hasta is normally seen wearing a pair of extremely old and ragged denim shorts, sandals and a large dark leather coat. He has three scars in a claw-mark like shape across the left-hand side of his jaw and a metal eyepatch in the shape of a skull over his right eye. He has three silver rings piercing his left ear and is always carrying an extremely large cutless. His hair is long and blonde, almost reaching his waist, and his beard is usually trimmed short.
Biography (Be as detailed as possible and include how you came to Khazan and your role in the Knights of Khazan if you can): "As long as there as been oceans, as long as there has been tides, as long as there has been the mystery and unfathomable wonder of the seas, Nik Hasta has been. Though he has not always been known by the name Nik Hasta, God of the Oceans realised quite early on that it, for he did not have commonly used first-person gender pronoun at that point, quite liked sentient lifeforms and took great interest when they plowed his waters and incarnated himself to learn more about them.
Over time he became less divine and more entranced with the human way of life, particularly the life of a pirate which had a curious romantic attraction to it. He eventually became a captain of great reknown, being known by such names as Edward Teach, Davy Jones, Bluebeard and James Hook, all were him in different forms and all were different periods of his existance. However, like all immortals, after a while he felt he had outgrown the planet he had incarnated on and began to stretch the ancient divine muscles that had long lain dormant.
After much probing the firmament of reality and caling out in the ancient language of the gods themselves his efforts paid off. The result was that he made contact with the Omniverse, becoming one with all seas everywhere and becoming patron god of all pirates everywhere and everywhen. He swiftly constructed a ship made from his own body and set off into the unknown, seeking to find endless adventure, meet new people and beings and found a new, reality spanning empire of piracy.
Like many traversers of reality he eventually happened upon the nexus and discovered the Knights. Or more the Knights, slightly concerned by his ever-growing empire, came to him. They put it to Nik Hasta that his true loyalties lay to defending his new and enormous family from threats to the entirety of existance and as god he should not shirk his responsibilities. Nik Hasta, seeing a formidable opponent in the organisation of Knights joined up happily and scaled down his expansionist tendancies somewhat.
Since that day Nik has been solid member of the Knights. His rebellious spirit has mellowed since then and he is now one of the more reasonable members of the Knights. He heeds summons when they are given and takes on any job given to him. His official position is of explorer since his reality traversing ship makes him particularly suited to the task. With an infinite amount of worlds to police, new data is always needed so Nik Hasta and his vast armada form a gigantic information gathering system that constantly updates the Knights with new realities, new threats and new treasures."
