Are there any pics of Lynn Varley?

I swear to god I saw one once, but I have never been able to find it again. I always like seeing what creators look like. When I was a kid, I pictured Larry Hama, as an Italian WW2 vet with a pot belly :)

Also, was she Frank Miller's wife or common-law?

Those have been proven not to be varley. Those are pics of Miller's current girlfriend. Miller and Varley divorced in 2005. This was pointed out to Brian Cronin when he posted those pics in Comic Book Urban Legends. There you can see everything that's wrong about Frank Miller in two photos. At some point, he adopted a persona, and that image has overtaken his life and work. He can't just be Frank Miller anymore; he has to be FRANK FUCKING MILLER with the hat and the wardrobe and the sinister facial expression and pose in every photo, and his work can't just be Frank Miller anymore; it has to be FRANK FUCKING MILLER with the hard-boiled cliches and the blood and whores and dialogue.

That expression is meant to be sinister? It looks more like he's distracted...I assumed a long legged boy in green speedos had just run into the cinema and he couldn't concentrate for the photo

The lovely young woman with Frank is Kimberly Halliburton Cox.

There is an old b+w photo of Lynn Varley at Trevor Von Eeden's website (www.trevorvoneeden.com)- just click open the "BATMAN" page, and then click on "The Batman Annual #8" --and her photo is there.

It's not a great shot--she's looking over her shoulder, as the photo is taken--but it's authentic. I'd stolen her from Neal Adams' Continuity Studios in '82, to color my Annual. The photo was taken in the mid-to-late '80s.

It's always bothered me that she's misidentified on Google Images.
