xkcd should be much higher on the list.

Mighty Avengers ahead of Secret Warriors? Really? I felt Secret Warriors was one of the best superhero comics of 2009.

I haven't read Madame Xanadu yet, but it's on my list and I've heard good things about it. Enough good things that I'd imagine it higher.

I agree with Sir Tim that xkcd could stand to do better as well. But that may just be the nerd in me talking.

And I'm sold that I should check out G-Man.

I always hate lists like this. there is always so much stuff that is average at best but is only put on the list because it isnt "mainstream" so people vote for/choose it to seem more "cool" and everything.

There hasnt been 100 genuinely good comic titles published this year to complete a list like this anyway.

S.W.O.R.D.? Really? It's been ok so far, but IMO at least let them finish a story arc before judging it.

SWORD ranked over X-Force is fine comedy and made me disregard this list.

Well it was one of my Top Ten. Hey, stick around - don't you want to see what else I loved this past year? :)

One writer thought the Walking Dead was great all year. A large team of writers came up with the rankings. He was outvoted.

    I wish Warren's Empowered were higher, but then, that's probably a side-effect of it's sales/visability.

I'm both happy and impressed it's on this list. regardless of its placement. I don't know that I've seen it on any other comics list out there (except Web Comics focused lists).

Placement matters less than does the mention, IMO.
