The promo art looks terrific. I might check this out, especially considering I will be all geeked up for the film by that time.

I'm a little Iron Man'd out, but you could put Van Lente on Invincible Inanimate Objects and it would read like gangbusters. Count me in.

Van Lente's done some great stuff with some unlikely material (Marvel Zombies, Lyra She-Hulk) as well as writing some great stuff on a more conventional keel like Spider-Man, so sign me up for this.

I gotta think this will be $2.99. Its not a mini, nor a top level writer, i.e. Bendis, Loeb, JMS. Plus, Fraction's IM is still $2.99, doubt they would make it more expensive than that.

Sounds great! Always good to have more Iron Man on the shelves, and this sort of Legacy-style flashback stories is a good avenue for the character. I am looking forward to figuring out where each story takes place, one of the benefits of being within spitting distance of collecting the entire series.

The first arc sounds tangentially similar to some older stories (not to mention some of the stuff going down in Iron Man vs Whiplash), but anything which brings back the Titanic Three and the Melter gets the nod from me. Those old Commie badguys were always fun back in the day, and they are favorites of mine.

Hopefully, this time around, Shellhead's run at having two solo titles will last longer than the last couple of times!

I sure hope so, only because Iron Man is my favorite super hero. However I won't pay $3.99 for any comic that has ads in it.

    Pulling for a miracle........

I save the money on the other titles I'm not getting so I can afford the $3.99 when necessary. Oddly, most of the titles I like from Marvel seem to be the $2.99 ones:

BLACK WIDOW & THE MARVEL GIRLS
    MARVEL ADVENTURES SPIDER-MAN
    MARVEL ADVENTURES SUPER HEROES
    SPIDER-MAN & THE SECRET WARS
    UNCANNY X-MEN: FIRST CLASS

There are some $3.99 ones as well:

    WEB OF SPIDER-MAN
    WOLVERINE WEAPON X
    X-FACTOR FOREVER
    X-MEN FOREVER

As well as some one-shots and minis:

THE MYSTIC HANDS OF DR. STRANGE
    WOLVERINE: MR. X
    WOLVERINE: SAVAGE
    WOLVERINE: WENDIGO!
    X-MEN ORIGINS: CYCLOPS
    X-MEN ORIGINS: NIGHTCRAWLER
    GIRL COMICS #1 (of 3)

And that's about it for me from Marvel, so I have room for some more $3.99 ones. :)

This is also a great way to explore other characters like mandarin, I'm looking forward to see this new series but if the price tag is 3.99 I don't think I will be getting it. PLEASE MARVEL MAKE IT 2.99
That's like saying if all the porn was made by my grandma I would be able to sustain a real relationship.
    (and I can't)

    Default Can't Wait!

I really cannot wait for this to come out!I was excited to say the least when invincible started and we still had Director of Sheild going, but of course marvel screwed that and made it be only one ongoing Iron Man comic.Trust me! the more Iron Man comics marvel puts out the better it is for me to see more of the man himself,Tony Stark!
