Default Bucky O'Hare and The Toad Wars

Remember this awesome early 90's cartoon? it lasted only 13 episodes as a sort of mini-series and it rocked. It's based on a cult graphic novel about an anthropomorphic animal universe is overtaken by evil toads and a diabolical artificial intelligence who wants to conquer it, a heroic green rabbit named Bucky O'Hare with gorilla-like simpleton toughie Bruiser, 12 year old human geek Willy DuWitt, sexy pink haired cat chick with powers named Jenny, badass Deadeye Duck, and lovable Android Blinky fights against them.

Loved it since i was 10 in 1991 when it came out and i even played the video game which rocked BTW. Now there is gonna be a CGI animated movie coming soon, that should be nice.

    So did i including Bucky.

Who else thought Jenny was one hot alien feline? she's up there with M'ress from Star Trek Animated and Callie from Swat Kats, there's just something about cat chicks that really appeals even to the Japanese. Who thinks she could be a possible pedophile? i mean she's always hitting on the human boy Willy and kissing him, i think she has a crush on him.

DeadEye Duck rocked and nearly stole the show.

I loved this show. I had a comic of it and the Bucky action figure. I was mad they didn't release one of Jenny. The game was awesome on NES.

I had no clue about the CGI movie!

    Only 13 episodes?!?!

I'm always amazed when I find out how many episodes of a 'toon from back in the day were made. It's always WAY less than I seem to remember.

I used to love this show as a little kid. Had a bunch of the figures and one of the VHS's. Could be collecting dust in my parent's basement

How can anything created by Neal Adams, Larry Hama and Michael Golden NOT be awesome?

I loved the show, but can't seem to remember a darn thing about it anymore.
I do remember renting the game that came out once. I can't remembe if it was on the NES or SNES.

I'm in the same boat as a couple of other posters. I do remember this show, even some of the toys at times, but only fleetingly. I remember getting up super early to watch it and I think the opening segments of the show, with the faux news report, was pretty funny at times. The only vivid memory I have of the show is that one particular line of the opening theme song, "CAPTAIN BUCKY O'HARE!"
"I am a man of peace."
"A man of peace who fights like ten tigers."

i had and still have the comics, and yes i loved the show. Deadeye Duck was one of my fav characters. i made a thread about this years ago and nobody responded. lol
Okay, before this thread this is what I knew about Tish, zip, zero, nada.
I now know that Tish is a heavily armed, black, bi-sexual, truck driving woman who likes going to the clubs.

I adored this show. Had most of the figures and watched it religiously. Sadly I can't help remembering British kids' TV ballbag Andi Peters obnoxiously singing over the theme tune everytime it came on. Pillock.

I'm also shocked it was only 13 episodes. I remember the game was a sidescroller.
