Between that and him implementing the Worf Effect on Deadshot, I have little to no interest in Smith's work in the comics industry.

Another sore spot for me is anything with Amalgam on it.

I prefer straightforward crossovers, like the 2 Superman & Spider-Man treasury books, those were great. This Amalgam thing was just weird.

That's just appalling, isn't it? So unprofessional and frankly, deserving of an instant smack in the mouth.

Yeah, I never understood the appeal of Amalgam comics either. Splicing DC and Marvel characters together just seems like the sort of thing that would've been cool to think about when you were eight years old but should never have been attempted by grown up comic professionals. I mean, I like salmon and I like custard...but I don't want them mixed together in the same bowl!

Yeah but people buy mayo on food . . . and to some people that's good, but for me . . . hell no!

Maximum Carnage - god awful and made a horrible character even worse (which mind you is NOT an easy thing to do)

All about biological parents of Nightcrawler : Mystique, Creed or Azazel, because not used for good stories, quasi not used (and not talk me about the "Mystique is his father" thing, it's not sense for me... and a bit ridiculous).
    His death. His 3e mini.

The story of Sean Madrox, because gratuitous death.

The heel turn face of Zero (my favorite...)

    Rahne's dickery.

But Secret Wars didn't do anything like that. You didn't even have to read it, it really had few big repurcussions in the regular titles. The few changes it did make were mostly temporary. Maybe it wasn't a classic, but it was a big, fun, story that I found very enjoyable as a kid.
It is more of a point of "everything after this point" kind of things. I had no problems with SW or Crisis actually.

Venom: Dark Origins pissed me off alot. It completely ruined Eddie Brock's character and origin to make him fit more in line with the movie version. As far as I'm concerned, the history told in Lethal Protector is what's canon. Also, Venom: License to Kill and Sign of the Boss were pretty bad and flat stories, especially license to kill.

Aliens: Colonial Marines was building up to a great end and then just blew it.

Don't get me started on Superman vs. Terminator.

Spiderman did not need to be reboted in 1999. They just continued the story as if nothing had happened, and many of the events that followed were just lame, gimmicky, and forgettable.

Yeah, those were pretty weird, but it was a fun idea to experiment with at the time.

This story starts out well, but became incredibly repetitive and bland. The game made it worthwhile, though.

You say weird like it's a bad thing (although Amalgam books are pretty low down on the list of weird books I've read).

I loved Crisis on Infinite Earths but thought Infinite Crisis ruined a nice story wrapping up the multiple earths. They turned Superman of Earth 2 into a wimp and Superboy prime into a psychopath.

I thought Amalgam was a lot of fun. I pretty continually weed my single-issue collection, and there's a handful of Amalgam stuff I always keep. Spider-Boy and Spider-Boy Team-Up were great fun, Dr. Strangefate was a beautiful looking book, and stuff like Magneto and the Metal Men and X-Patrol were just fun. Karl Kesel, Kevin Nowlan, Ladronn, Dave Gibbons, and so many more were just out there jamming and having a good time, unconstrained by continuity. There were obviously some clunkers, but I consider it a net gain... since I keep them and reread them.

Secret Wars was flawed, but I can live with it. There never should have been a second one though.
