CBR: Matt Fraction's Thunderous New Assignment

When "Siege" concludes, a new era will begin for Marvel's ongoing "Thor" series, as chronicled by writer Matt Fraction who takes over the title with issue #610, soon after his Free Comic Book Day "Iron Man/Thor" one-shot is released.

Honestly, I think we will be seeing some quality work from Fraction and JRjr. I'm just no sure if it will be any new stories or just more of the same Thor. Opinions?

Marvel said the internet would be broken in 3 over the new team and I for one sure am broken.....

I love how Matt Fraction is the new writer...

Romita Jr is one of my fav artists....

but Romita Jr being on "Thor" drives me crazy. After amazing artists like Oliver Coipel, Marko Djuerdjvic, and even Billy Tan...Romita's art just doesn't seem to flow...

Honestly I'm not a huge fan of Fractions recent stuff... but I'll at least give it a shot.

JRjr on the book is cool though. I'm a fan of his stuff. If nothing else, I have confidence it'll look good.

It's a fairly A list creative team, so I think the book will do descent at least.

Here I am, torn between my love for Romita Jr. and my intense loathing of all of Fraction's post-Iron Fist work.

I won't be buying.

I am a fan of Fraction, and I love Romita Jr.... so this is a very solid book for me. Was hoping that Gillen could get a little longer stay on Thor, but at least I good team is replacing him.

Fraction's Thor specials were better than JMS's run IMO. I found it more larger than life and Godly. JRjr's Thor run was fantastic and dynamic. I believe that Romita said his run was limited to 6-8? back when he announced that he was doing a run on Thor.

Fraction's various Thor stories were pretty good overall, had a good feel for the characters.

Honestly never been a huge fan of JRjr's distinctive style, but we'll see how it goes.

Why would it? You act like people don't write more books than one on a regular basis.

I don't think Fraction can generate the same amount of sales on the book that Thor could so I'd think that it would be $2.99 (after all unanny x-men isn't $3.99)
