I'll probably pick up the Mouse Guard freebie...pity it's got Fraggle Rock in it as well though. I've heard a lot of really good things about Mouse Guard but up to this point, have never even laid eyes on an issue of it. So I'd be curious to see what it's like.

Penguins of Madagascar comic? Gimme NOW!
The Large Hadron Collider on the France-Switzerland border inadvertently will crush the Earth out of existence (unlikely, but at least humanity's final thought would be, "Blame the French")

It was literally just yesterday that I was wondering what happened to Valiant Comics? And ol' Jim Shooter? And, if you were to cull the best characters from that time, they would be the old Gold Key characters: DR. (he did go to school y'know) Solar and Magnus, Robot Fighter. I'm trying to convince my wife to name our due-soon child Robot-Fighter, but she is thus far unconvinced. I'm also curious about Mr. Turok,Son Of Stone--'tis a shameful thirty years or so our lost hero has silently spent amongst the honkers.

FCBD is a good thing, but it's not like Diamond isn't making money on the thing. They're still getting theirs.

I guess advertising that they do it is supposed to stem the fact that they still screw over many good publishers trying to get on their feet with these little 'freebies'.

I'm so psyched about the Solar/Magnus comic! Gold Key/Valiant heroes are so rad. I was wondering how long it would take Jim to publish something with these characters at Dark Horse...I've held two open spots in my pull list for them for a while now. Now I'm hoping for two things....one, I hope Jim is writing them and not just plotting them. And two, I hope the art is badass.
