Abridged series are here to stay

Kubo wishes he was Takahashi when it comes to the story length.

As for Popo, I like how they used him to in the newest episode. Gives him something other than being an implied terrifying presence that just stares at you creepily.

The new YGOTAS episode also reminds us that as hilariously trollerific as Melvin is, Yami still outdicks him.

Oh, Takahashi certainly has muuuuch longer stories, but they tend to take place over months/years. I have still yet to see anyone match Kubo Tite's ability to make the events of one-two days take several years to tell, except for perhaps Phil and Kara Foglio, and in that case Girl Genius is released at the rate of three fully colored (usually) and extremely detailed pages a week.

Dragonball Z Abridged is by far my favorite. They have so many catchphrases, it's ridiculous! "Dodge!" "Nerd!" If someone asked me to name the best character, I couldn't. They're all so funny. Vegeta, Nappa, Piccolo, Zarbon, Frieza, they're hilarious!

Thought this would be an appropriate section to promote two fun and relatively well made FFVII abridged series. These are only two FFVII Abridged Series on the web (that I am aware of).

The first (and older one), and currently the one with more views, is made by YouTube user SonsofSatire and is unfortunately by all appearances become an abandoned project as of Episode 9 (released two years ago). However, it is still worth checking out IMO for a good laugh.

The second one, which is deserving of a lot more views (and subscribers), is uploaded by cloudstrife8 (Kiel Nelson), and made by him, GuitArchon (Alex Melius), Nick Sinotte, and many others. It has about 9 episodes so far and has been able to retain its monthly release schedule since its inception (which is pretty impressive for an Abridged Series). The group hopes to finish the series by summer of 2013, but admits it may take longer than that (December 2013 is their more generous/realistic prospective).
