Is it possible to read "Fall Of The Hulks" without buying the Loeb issues?
    Please, somebody tell me: Yes.
Having bought "Code Red" for Deadpool I really wish I hadn't. Never mind, I'm not going to make that mistake again.

    Can we ask questions?
I want to know when are we going to find out how Rick got turned into Bluemination!?
Or was that just that SS program thing and he some how had some bad luck and turned to that.

Oh and when are we going to find out who the Red Hulk is.

We hadn't initially planned on doing a full on fan Q&A like we do with Cup O' Joe, but if there's enough interest, I think we could work that out for an installment. If nothing else, I'm going to be monitoring your guys' responses to the books to help shape how we're covering the event each week.

At least I was consistent? In any event, fixed now. Thanks!

I'm excited because Pak is involved but apprehensive because Loeb is too.

Good interview to start it off. Looking forward to this being a weekly column.

Personally I think it's great that Jeff Parker and Paul Pelletier are getting involved in the events. McGuinness'll be back shortly and with Pelletier taking over on Incredible there should be no complaints about the art chores on the main series. On the Red Hulk mini Parker's writing they have Carlos Rodriguez penciling, but I'm sure who he is. Thunderbolts maybe?

Greg Pak: I've really had a ton of fun playing with this storyline and this direction with the character. It was a total blast being able to go to "Planet Hulk" with just the Hulk and have Banner be there on the periphery. Now we're kind of doing the flip of that, and it's just as fun for me to write. Hopefully it'll be just as revelatory for the character in the end. I've said this before, and I'll say it again: "Fall of the Hulks" and "World War Hulks" together, I think, will be the biggest emotional story that has ever been told about Bruce Banner. It really will rock his world to its foundations in multiple ways. It's big, big, big. It's Hulk-sized!
Lol, you gotta love Pak. He's a one-man marketing machine.

But in just a few issues he's made Banner about as interesting as he's ever been IMO. He's considerably more pro-active now and getting a chance to stretch his brain which he hasn't done in ages. But at the same time they're starting to show some of his underlying problems which will undoubtedly play out in this.

His treatment of son (calling him a 'monster' and revealing just how angry he makes him) is shades of his father's treatment of him. Then there's Hiro-Kala who is supposed to make his way back in time for WWHs. If he thinks Skaar is a problem child...

And now we're given the possibility that the Hulk is there to protect the world from Banner which is an interesting spin on their relationship. I get the feeling we're going to see a new Hulk at the end of this but this, but will he be one of the good guys?

And what exactly does the Intelligencia want? Build their own Hulk army? The one's that they've made so far they seem to have dubious control over. They just seem to be making a whole lot of potential enemies for themselves. And is this group going to be involved with WWHs or is that going to be based on something else entirely?

I'm going to pick up all of Greg Pak's and Jeff Parker's contributions to the Fall of Hulk..

I'll still pick up the Hulk book by Loeb, but I'm really close to dropping it. Hell. At this point I'd be happy with the Red She Hulk reveal too.

Hopefully, the Fall of the Hulks will finally reveal who the Red Hulk is. Because if it goes on any longer, and I know I'm not sticking around for it. If by twenty issues it's not blatantly clear, then I'm definitely not following that book anymore.

It's either Doc Samson or General Ross. By the way :)

I want to know this too. I have no intentions of getting Loeb's Hulk even if the answer is 'no'.

I keep hearing from Greg Pak that you can read Incredible during FotH without reading Loeb's adjectiveless Hulk. We'll know in January, won't we?

Thanks for linking this! Much appreciated.

(Now, let's see if I can set my watch by how quickly this thread becomes a Loeb bash-fest.)

Oh no. It sounds like Loeb had a big hand in making this story. That can't be good.

Loeb deserves all the criticism he gets. You're obviously a fan, which I have no objection to, but you're almost flame-baiting people here.
As the old maxim goes: Be careful what you wish for, you may just get it.
