Just seen the preview pages (LETTERED) of Captain Marvel #1. AWESOME.. SPEACHLESS! Carol at her best!
Got a perfect pictue and did this:

I was actually surprised she was a Colonel.

I would think that would put her in her mid-forties or so. She certainly doesn't look it.

Hmmm...I absolutely love Clayton Crain's art and Dexter Soy's is similar in texture without being quite so "muddy" and gloomy, which is a plus. However, overall it definitely lacks a clean and elegant finish and his body proportions are off (as in the panel example posted above) which is a negative.
I will still give it a shot but...the writing had better be good...because the art alone is not doing it for me.

I know dude. It was a joke. You know, the big Iron Man story? And the archetype for the Phoenix, is just a phoenix. A fiery bird that represents destruction and rebirth.

It's nonsense. They've written the Phoenix Force as a demon in the bottle. The mythical phoenix never did anything for anybody. It was just an oddity in Arabia.
