Her hair continues to be an oddity for me. I don't like saying it, but I don't think the covers are exciting compared to others, especially Hawkeye and Gambit #1. Reading the solicits does indicate that airplane flying will play a big role in this arc. Air-born stories may prove interesting.

I want to feel more excited for the series, but what I know of the premise doesn't interest me yet. Hopefully that changes with #1!

The covers and story solicits for Avenging Spider-Man actually interest me more at this point! Kelly Sue DeConnick is a talented writer, though. There may be a good chance that I will enjoy this series.

I have to agree. I've now read the solicits to Captain Marvel issues #1-#3, and I still don't know what the hell this series is going to be about.

Airplanes is all we know!

When Gambit and Hawkeye were announced, I immediately felt I knew the premise for each series. Captain Marvel is still somewhat vague to me.

Just in case this hasn't been mentioned, DeConick had an interview on the http://crazysexygeeks.libsyn.com/ Crazy Sexy Geeks podcast and didn't reveal much but I like her enthusiasm for the title, even like the fact that she admits that Carol was the badguy during cw-as much as any marvel writer will dare say that sort of thing-but I'm not sure. Not yet having seen the issues that Lady Alternate mentioned I still view Carol as the person who was willing to battle friends in safe fights, lock them up for life in 42 just to advance her superheroine career. I'm curious about the book but I'm not enthused about it yet.

EMH is definitely making me more of a fan of Carol. I like that she's one of the big guns and able to stand up to the Hulk. If only she got this much respect in the comic books.

i wonder if it's Titania/Skeeter. i've thought that she should be Marvel's answer to Giganta ever since Slott's She-Hulk run.
