    ^ Nicely done, sir!

    Thanks.

Raises some new questions... Does Carol then not have the ability to fly? Is that a perk of the costume? But obviously the current "Grounded" storyline is dealing with a brain-flight issue. Is the "costume" a part of her biology?

This is out dated I'm afraid. In the next page the woman failed to fly and have any of Carol's powers and it was speculated by Carol that the powers had transfered from the suit to her. That's one of the reasons she was able to handle Mystique's assassin a few issues later and why she could switch the black costume (which everyone seemed to like at the time but has since seemed to become the Edsel of the character) after her first encounter with Captain Marvel post-powering.

I'm really wondering now why Tony hasn't swiped her new suit.

Let me first start by saying I hate spoilers. I don't even read interviews, previews, yadda yadda. I prefer to read the story for myself first. I figure I'm a reasonably not stupid guy so I can connect the dots if I even see a small spoiler which kills it for me personally.

    BUT...

    Guys. Guys! GUYS!

Remember how I was inquiring about that star-headed Lady that Ms. Marvel was at one point (sorry I keep forgetting her name)?

I found this on Mrs. DeConnick's Tumblr.

"Captain Marvel no. 15 — INFINITY
Above is my cover for the next issue of Captain Marvel, tying into Marvel’s upcoming cosmic event, Infinity. Read more about it in this interview with Kelly Sue DeConnick over at IGN."

By the way, has anyone asked Mrs. DeConnick about this helmet tech/suit tech stuff?

All we know for sure (from the comicbook itself) is that the sash is impermeable.

Yeah. It should be fun. The way it's usually been portrayed in recent years...

If you manage to pour enough energy into Carol, it can push her over that threshold and she temporarily regains her Binary form. And by enough... it usually means really, really, really huge levels of energy. A nuclear warhead is not enough. The Phoenix is.

Why is it a matter of concern? And on a related note, why isn't "minor molecular control", no longer an acceptable answer? As per wikia.
    Bad news everyone...

Because alot of people are curious about it.

Also, I personally feel it is not canon until it's written in a superheroe's "main line" of comicbooks.

That's why I'm asking. It never seemed to be an issue before, so presumably the answer we had then sufficed. Suddenly, for no apparent reason, it doesn't.

I guess we care for the character and want to know more.

See, what I'm not getting is why you think there is more with regards to the suit. The answer we've had for years now is "part of her powers" (which explains why she reverts to her normal clothes when she passes out, btw). It's just weird when you consider that answer has gone uncontested for as long as it has and now, for seemingly no apparent reason, it's not good enough.

The more logical train of thought is that if KSD hasn't it explained it, it either doesn't matter, or we already have the answer in "part of her powers" (its probably both). Rather than arbitrarily deciding there's anything more than that. I don't think it's even remotely near the top on her list of things to do while she's writing Carol Danvers to explain the fictional minutiae of suit technologies, or lack thereof. Considering most of all the uphill battle she's fighting to keep the book going but also that fact that Carol has never been a gadget-based character. What her suit is made of has never been relevant. And since 2007 I was fine with the answer that she just made it appear out of thin air, something KSD does in a similar fashion in late 2012. So I figure it's the same deal.

As someone as a kid who spent hours and hours drawing up plans for a warp drive engine, and tracing the exoskeleton design from comics (including the one shown in the scan put up) I can say it's not so much a matter of concern as it is just a lot of fun. Also if the author tries to figure it out maybe a story idea will come from it. There was once an entire issue of the Fantastic Four devoted to someone trying to steal the unstable molecular formula for the clothes that they wear.
