I went into issue 1 with a positive attitude even though I hated the new uniform, and I have tried to get into the new book. After the first arc, I'm kind of worried for its survival.
Carol is awesome, but nothing from the first 5 issues would just grab me if I didn't like the character already. Of course as a male, maybe I can't relate to what they're trying to do.
The letters page makes it sound like everyone just loves this book, but that's not what I hear from others. I'm afraid if something isn't done to appeal to a wider audience it will be gone soon.
I wonder how many more times Marvel will even try? I think Carol deserves a book, but from a sales standpoint, they probably lost readers just from the ugly uniform after the curiosity
of issue 1.
