    Default Ultimate Avengers # 4

    Anyone read this?
I thought that it was a pretty kick butt issue.

The Cap chase comes to an end and in between some info gets revealed that leads one to believe that what he have been reading so far is not the way things are really playing out.

Nerd Hulk was kind of humorous but at the moment seems useless and is nothing but a face..

    So anybody read this?

Decent issue. War Machine was too much of a mouth piece and I was glad when Cap tore off his arm. Hulk in a suit was kinda stupid and he doesn't really sound like Banner. The art has too many inkers and get's inconsistent in certain places.
So...whose neck do I break first?

When NH put on the suit i thought he was going to go Mr. Fixit but it didnt go that way. In fact, it seems like they grabbed some random dude from the street and put his brain in a Hulk body.

The Spider wasn't in it at all.

Captain America looked like an idiot in this, going into a Kindergarten, really? What if War Machine had just shot the building down? What if he blew the wall and glass or debris hit one of the kids? It was a bitch move.

The rest of the issue was cool, I like the new Black Widow and Wasp.

Come to think of it, why is Cap in Paris when AIM HQ is in Alaska?

I hardly think that's any of your business.

Looking for the Spider was the only reason I looked through this at the comic shop yesterday. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure this is a great book but if we got another guy running around the Ultimate U as Spider-Man, I'd expect more on him.

While I do believe making him appear useless was the point, Nerd Hulk was just plain stupid. I'm sure this will set up the eventual mother of all beat downs, but still. Ugh. Plus, why did Millar decide to introduce not one, but TWO new Hulks for his run? Where's good ol' regular Hulk? Again... Ugh. Kinda tangent to that, I was thinking it would have been cool to just have War Machine be the team muscle. That panel of him ripping the building open was AWESOME. I was hesitant with the decision to make Ultimate War Machine so huge, but a big ass robot with floating gun arrays and the myriad of other cool weapons I'm sure Mark has thought of could make for some awesome fight scenes lol.

Are Red Wasp and the Insect Queen from the Liberators (who Janet smushed, I thought...) the same person? Were they always supposed to be the same person?

I enjoyed the "Nerd Hulk" nickname...

Also Hawkeye doesn't get a whole lot of attention until the end. But I really enjoyed his dialogue, especially his quirk in response to BWII.

The one that Janet squashed was named Swarm... I'm looking at it like Insect Queen/Red Wasp was one of the many off-screen characters that comprised the Liberators. Her tactic of flying through people brought to mind the grunts in armor who'd fly through people
Irredeemable, Batman, Secret Warriors, X23, Thunderbolts, Jennifer Blood, Daken

i enjoyed the issue. Cap kinda shocked me by using those kids as a shield but i guess this is the Ultimate U. did anyone notice the Viva la France postcard floating next to Cap after he got taken out? and Nerd Hulk was pretty useless but hes still an interesting guy. i didnt think hed be such a softie. it should make for some interesting team dynamics later on. tho it seems hed be better off behind a desk or something. any bets on whos the first to bite the big one? i have no idea but i have a good feeling the whole team wont be intact by the time this story arc is over.
