I'm quite excited about this.
Shade #50 is one of the best single issues I have ever read.
I'm glad Vertigo will continue to release Shade volumes. It's the last of the great Vertigo series left collecting.
It gets tricky after #50 because the quality drops right off and doesn't come back until the final 3 part story.
Awesome! I started buying issues by the handful when I'd find them in bargain bins, so my collection is sporadic at best. I stopped when they first published the "American Scream" tpb, thinking that more would follow soon. I was wrong (at the time) and gave up. Here's hoping they keep it up this time!![]()
Now if we could just get new printings of The Books of Magic trades I can die happy...![]()
How odd that the interviewer didn't ask for more details about Vertigo's publishing plans for future Shade or Human Target paperbacks.
This news makes me very happy. I loved this series to pieces, and I'm thrilled to death to finally see it get the TPB treatment. I thought that first volume was going to be it, and I'm happy to be mistaken.
Definitely good news!!! I always forget how far out Amazon has their info and never check for things that haven't been solicited through Previews...
I wonder why they don't put this older stuff out faster...? Sandman Mystery Theatre was mentioned earlier; here's material that is already printed and sitting on the shelf, yet we only see one volume a year. On the other hand, the new Transmetropolitan trades have been released about every 2-3 months... weird.![]()
