It's amazing to have a board where there is so much passion and joy about a character I love dearly, and so many intelligent, witty, gracious posters.

It's a pleasure to see so much creativity from the talented artists on the board, both professional and not-yet-professional.

It's a delight to have so many pros I respect dropping by and leaving their opinions and support.

It's been a revelation doing the Five Wonder Question interviews with some of my heroes and learning things that have been so surprising and fascinating.

It's been a joy to meet the Marston family, the keepers of the flame.

It's been incredible to get to know Aegisbearer...I could not do this board without him and he constantly surprises me with his ingenuity and enthusiasm.

And it's been an absolute pleasure to get to know all of you.

I just made homemade cranberry sauce and turkey sausage cornbread stuffing with chanterelle mushrooms to go along with the turkey... I'm all set for Thanksgiving :)

OMG, I am making a FEAST! I've been cooking since yesterday. This is my menu (stuff with asterisks next to it is stuff I'm making myself):

First course:
Chips and crackers
Salsa
Asiago Artichoke Dip
* Black Bean Chipotle Hummus
* Avacado Garlic Hummus (This is HEAVEN, OMG)

Second course:
Vegan butternut squash soup

Main course:
* Roasted chicken (I'm veggie, but my girlfriends aren't. I promised a turkey, but it's just the three of us, and turkeys are GIGANTIC, so we are having chicken instead)
Quorn veggie roast (for me!)
* Garlic-parsley mashed potatoes
* Cornbread stuffing with apples and sage
* Green bean casserole
* Veggie gravy

And dessert:
Sweet potato pie (my girlfriend is making this)

Everything except the chicken is veggie, and omg, I am so excited. I love cooking, I love having my girlfriends with me for the holiday. We're gonna watch movies and eat and it's just gonna be great.

I don't think so, but I'm not much of a country person; definitely not nationally. We have bonfire night earlier in the month though :)

There is a saying that grateful people are happy people and those who aren't ... aren't. I am certainly grateful for this board.
