The x-treme one was the only one i liked. The axm one was okay but at the end of the day there wasnt much individuality in it.

anybody have any scans from her solo Uncanny X-men issue with eric beale (260 maybe)? that was one of my first x-men comics but i lost it somewhere through the years.![]()
That is such a ripoff of "The Jagged Edge", Dazzler #25. She already had a deranged stalker with a wall-full of press clippings and photos, coated with a thick sheet of desparately angry manspunk.
Did CC ever have any plans for Dazzler following the Siege Perilous? He almost immediately resolved the plotlines for all the X-men that went through but her. By the time the Muir Island Saga hit, Dazzler was still a lingering plotline in limbo. Thankfully Jim Lee went back and gave her her memories back and at least resolved her story. Has she shown up in Forever? I wonder if CC had a plan for her or he was he just going to leave her as an amnesiac not reclaiming her life
Eric Beale was deranged and hopped up on coke when he kidnapped Dazzler and was going to kill her. She didn't want to kill/maim him with her laser so she used various light effects to affect his brain chemistry and bypassed the drugs which ended up with him crying because the light was so beautiful or some such =p

she hasn't shown up in forever yet, and i honestly dont think she will anytime soon. i always thought dazzler got the raw end of the siege perilous stick. psylocke came out immediately with a brand new storyline, and while rogue and havok didn't come back til later, they came back with multi-issue arcs and plans for the future. dazz got a one issue stalker story. i guess its cuz CC was gonna kill her originally.
How did eric beale even kidnap dazz? Shes like an omega level mutant and like insanely powerful.
This was after she went through Siege Perilous and she had lost her memory. She was trying to lure him out by standing on a beach with a full-length gown, he ambushed her in a motorbike and knocked her out. Also, this was before omega-level classifications and all that.

Check out the first post in this thread. I linked some of the text to scans from UXM 260![]()
It seems like he was going to "retire" her because he hadn't planted any seeds for her future like he did for Psylocke, Havok, etc. At one point, Forge and Banshee were going to go look for her, but then they got sidetracked by Fenris and tentacle Jean. Very disconcerting. I remember being so excited to hear Jim Lee was bringing her back, but I was let down when she didn't even make any of the covers (yet Longshot did!!!!!!) and was basically a Mojoverse plot accessory.
I could imagine CC having her do a few cameos a la "the End." She could have reclaimed her pop star status or become a public mutant figure in some other way.
Dazzler's powers were seriously nerfed during her early run on Uncanny. She was shoehorned into a novice/newbie role whereas she was kicking a$$ just fine as a solo superhero in her series before joining the X-Men. I suppose we could chalk up Eric's success to the fact Dazzler was amnesiac, but that would be generous, heh.
