Thank you for my new avatar Justin K.
LuckyStar I really like those. I think I am more of a gold trim on the costume fan, it makes it pop more.

This has OBVIOUSLY been addressed before, I'm sure of it...
BUT...
What does Dazzler's singing voice sound like? Comparitively speaking?
If one were to associate her voice to that of a particular female vocalist of today or yester-year... what would the Dazzler fans say?
I've noticed a lot of comparison to Kylie Minouge (spelling?) but is that more visual or do you/they/them imagine they share a similar SOUND as well?
myself for example (most recently) came across Alexz Johnson, a canadian singer.
She's got an exquisite voice built for ballads and/or belting pop hits.
Youtube her! Faves: Hurricane Girl, Overrated, and Taker. (for those with the time and level of boredom)

"Um, blah, blah, blah. And, Girl Power. Feminism, d'you know what I mean?"
The Kylie Minogue association has always been more about appearance, styling, songs/music style & using lots of silver/sparkles & light effects in her videos & shows.
I'm assuming the GaGa comparisons have been strictly song/music style based because I can't SEE anything else there
As far as vocally, well there's not really any real world source to compare her to. Her voice wad always described in Mary Sue-ish ways. She's sang almost every genre, covered songs better than the originals & has ridiculous range. There's no way to compare any real singer to those ridiculous standard, lol. That's why IMHO if Dazz is in a movie it should be someone who CAN sing, but more importantly looks the part & can pull off the inner turmoil of career or heroism. Going by just a voice to match the comic descriptions would be a casting nightmare... and likely leave comic fans disappointed
As much as I love Kylie's voice (especially live) it is not one I have pictured emanating from Alison's mouth; Her music, charm, style and stage shows absolutely. Unfortunately, descriptions of Ali's voice make it impossible for any one singer to fit the bill... Or accomplish the vocal gymnastics she has been credited with.
I've always pictured her with a versatile, emotive and powerful voice. Kelly Clarkson but not as strained. Tiffany but doesn't suppress her higher register. Xtina but not as obnoxious and twitchy. Mariah before she began to breathe all her songs. Kristine W but with less jazzy warble. Sarah McLachlan but doesn't spend as much time in the back of her throat.. So, in my mind she has a hodge podge of qualities but overall impressive pipes.
