That's the same reaction I have when I see you gone from this thread, online bff.

I hope that you have your million and one questions ready about the future of Ali and Betsy for when you go to the SDCC next month - ask if Ali's power will evolve during her otherworldly trips.

I'm disappointed but not surprised that Dazzler was absent. I can't even blame the writer, because I feel like the entire issue, right down to what characters were there and what their reactions would be, was editorially mandated. Dazzler getting the shaft is just more of the same from the X-office.

I bought Astonishing X-Men #51 because she was on the cover, really disappointed she wasn't in it! :(

I've been a Dazzler fan since her series debuted back in the day. It was my favorite and I never missed an issue. For me, her disco phase was the best and the artwork in the first 5 issues were above all the rest. It was a great period in my early comics collecting days!

I love thoe first few issues as well @ jason w!

I like it when the writer remembers that she's an NYC girl, not the California Malibu Babe that some writers pen her as. Her calling out Enchantress "I WANT YOU, MAMA!" is evident of how the character is supposed to come across to me. Ballsy, tough as nails, heart of gold, stilleto pumps. in. the club.

Charlie Huston got her the closest to her true character in years. Here's hoping Pak will do the same.

Loved the original Dazzler series! The only period that drove me crazy is when she hired Power Man and Iron Fist to help her with Rogue. Dazz became so freaked out I wanted to slap her. I think around issue issue #22 or around there. I even liked those goofy fill-in issues with Janet better.

I don't really mind the guitar, but the cowboy hat needs to go!

Yea, it's probably just her with both the guitar AND the cowboy hat that I strongly dislike.

trade the hat for cowboy boots, however, and I would be fine lol.

while originally I would have preferred Dazzler stay in 616... considering what is happening with the 616 X-Men... extremely lame O5 from the past coming to the present indefinitely, Uncanny getting the axe, X-team merging with a Black Widow-less, Spider-Woman-less Avengers team... I'm glad she won't be in 616 & will be off world hopping & no doubt getting involved in far more interesting hijinx. I still hold out hope for a Dazzler & Thor pairing or an AU Black Widow or Spider-Woman joining X-treme though.

I'm pretty excited for it. I'm not really a fan of what's going on I the 616 right now either so I don't really think she's missing out on anything. It's also kinda nice that she finally has a new love interest that's not Longshot.
