Its nice to see Hickman take the Fantastic Four so seriously and personal, I have a really good feeling about this run, especially with the promised focus on the whole family and not just Reed.

Things of interest:

-Doom is gonna be busy with Siege, Doomwar, and THEN another kind of event after that. He's a busy dictator! But by the law of Fantastic Four writers, every run has to have some kind of Dr. Doom storyline so I look forward to what Hickman has to offer.

-Rotating artists! If theres one thing I hate more than delays is artists changing up in the middle of the story. When I look back on a story like All-Star Superman or the Ultimates, I'm not gonna think about the delays, I'm gonna think about how freakin' incredible the artwork is. Having a specific artist on each story arc is fine with me, and it works wonders for Incredible Herc and Morrison's New X-men/Batman and Robin(that is, when the artist is actually good ).

-Its good to see that Hickman has his run planned so far ahead. It reminds me of the 60-issue bible he had mapped out for Secret Warriors.

Great article.....And I'm grateful to hear that all of the family members will get focused within the current F4 run......

....Anyway, can't wait to see what the Richards siblings be up to within both Issue #573 and #574(Franklin's B-day).....

Very good interview that gives me a lot of encouragement about how this run will be shaping up. I don't mind hearing about Dale Eaglesham and Neil Edward rotating on the art chores especially if Paul Mounts stays on the book. Come to think of it, he's almost the Joe Sinnott of this era in being on the title the longest! I thought the rotation concept worked out well when Howard Porter did the "Authoritative Action" arc between Wieringo's "Unthinkable" and "Hereafter". They all ended up in their own separate trades after all.

I love that he's going to be dealing more with the extended family of the FF than the previous team. I hope he has plans for a She Hulk cameo at least. The fact that he wants to bring the long absent Nathaniel Richards intrigues me also since he seems to have a lot more sympathetic take on the character then DeFalco's scheming character. I even forgot why he had the cyclops helmet for a while. It's interesting that Hickman wants to bring him into a college days flashback with Victor Von Doom. Since Books of Doom pretty much tells us Victor was pretty close to graduation, that's 3 years at least of stuff out there that can be mined.

With all the stuff that Doom is tied into until at least near summer, I expect that Doom isn't going to be retiring anytime soon.

After reading Hickman's Secret Warriors, I was excited about him as a writer and I have really enjoyed his run so far on the FF. I really appreciate how he maps these titles for the long haul. I have been reading the FF for over twenty years and I always enjoy it when a writer and artist team gets to drop anchor and build some things over the course of time. And I'm really excited to see what happens with the Richards kids. I grew up reading about Franklin's tough childhood and was a little disappointed when his powers got taken. We'll see how that pans out now. The art looks great in all the previews!

Solve Everything was great. I loved everything about it. Eaglesham rocks on art and I also don't mind the rotating artists. I like it on Uncanny, as I am one of the few who likes Land's art.

Can't wait to see what he has planned for Val and this Prime Elements arc sounds really intriguing.

Its good to see Millar get praise for something. His FF run gets a bad rep for no reason.

Millar's FF run was pretty unremarkable in every way, and it completely petered out on both the writing and art as neither Millar nor Hitch really finished the run properly.

Liking the Hickman stuff so far though, that Neil Edwards art looks like Ordway crossed with Hitch.

Writing the "Fantastic Four" affords Hickman the opportunity to write a number of compelling characters, one of the most compelling being the group's arch-enemy, Doctor Doom. Doom's activities around the Marvel Universe are currently keeping him busy, but that doesn't mean that the armor clad dictator won't be appearing in the pages of the series that introduced him to the world. "Doom is a major player in the Marvel Universe, and he really shouldn't be seen just as a foil for the Fantastic Four. So January's 'Siege' and February's 'DoomWar' are huge, and there's another thing coming down the pipe with another franchise that will involve Doom," Hickman revealed. "We will get to a point, though, where we can do a very big Doom story in my run on 'Fantastic Four.' So don't worry - that is going to happen."

I was just reading that quote above where it says Doom will be involved in another franchise (besides BP and the Siege title). Judging by the February solicits, I wonder if it will be the Doctor Voodoo series? Maybe he takes a shot at mentoring where Strange left off???

That would be pretty awesome. Imagine the possibilities.

Yeah, Doctor Strange pretty much conceded Doom could be more skilled then he is now. I don't think Doom has the patience to be the Sorceror Supreme, day in day out. He has too many things going on right now.

More than likely it is the Thor title, since Asgard is in Latveria right now. As far as the article goes, it looks as if this creative team will be on the title for the long haul, which makes me really exuberant. Plus, after seeing some of Neil Edwards work for in the preview, it looks really good, and similar enough to Eagleshams to not be in the least bit jarring. It looks like its going to be a great year to be an FF fan!
