"No weapon formed against them could prosper."
That could be pretty good or pretty bad depending on how many Avengers there have been.
If there were say 100 (I'd guess the number is around that ball park), then that puts Falcon roughly in the middle of the pack. Glass is at least half full since that beats out a lot of guys, plenty who have probably have longer runs on the book than him.
I want to see a lot more Falcon in 616 avengers related books. He should be brought back to the Priest hardcore attitude..
Despite the fact that they came off to look like jerkoffs in the book, I really liked that Falcon was the pseduo leader of this little Avengers group and the intiative he took to try and keep the peace.
I would love it if he started up a new Avengers West Coast branch or something. Even though he gets downplayed a lot he's a great fighter and can do a lot more than some of the other non super powered member on the teams. Oh if only. *sigh*

I've never been a huge Falcon fan. I've always been more indifferent towards him. But I do feel he has been underutilized and has the potential to be a great character.
He isn't a very powerful character in terms of his abilities, but he's still interesting. Marvel could definitely play up his abilities to talk to birds.
And don't knock flight, its still pretty awesome. Look at characters like Angel, Adam Strange or the Rocketeer.
I feel like the one thing Marvel hasn't been completely consistent with in regards to Sam is his fighting style.Does he use his wings as weapons at all or simply go h2h most of the time?
I have no problem with him wielding firearms. I'm a big fan of the Ultimate Falcon.
Hopefully marvel handles him well in the future. If the rumor about him appearing in Captain America 2 is true. Guess will have to wait and see
I was never a fan of Falcon as an Avenger but I like him working with Cap and Shield. His time with BuckyCap was great.
I love falcons powers, the fact that he can get sensory information and can telepathically communicate with birds should make him the most well networked superhero. Surely he must be potently the best street level crime fighter in the MU.
An unashamed Bloodstone, Captain Britain, Hawkman, Doctor Fate and Bat-villain fanboy.
I think marvel should simplify Falcons wings even more when/if he appears on the big screen like they did with Spider-Man's web shooters and Hawkeyes origin.
Keep Sam's original origin relatively the same. Since his early childhood Falcon had a natural affinity for birds, he had a pigeon coope as a kid, and have his family's origin be roughly the same.
Than there is the cosmic cube and red skull, where he gains his abilities. However, make his wings a natural extension of himself, just too simplify things for the audience. They could be attached to his back like the Blue Beetle Scarab or the Guyver armor marker, barely noticeable, but manifest themselves when they are needed.
I don't think the connection to Wakanda should be completely thrown out. Have the wings be made out of Vibranium or something.
Than maybe give him a new outfit.
I like this look but I was thinking something even more aerodynamic.
Also I think they should play up Falcon's speed in the air. They don't really do this in the comics to my knowledge, but I think it would be awesome in the movies

so Falcon is going to be the rookie on this new show?

ccording to Loeb, "Assemble" will more closely resemble the vision seen in cinemas this summer, with one notable exception: the addition of Falcon, a superhero commonly associated with Captain America.
"Falcon is going to be the eyes of the viewer," said Loeb. "He's a new member of the Avengers so he's walking through our stories wide-eyed and with wonder and amazed to be a part of it. He's a little younger than the rest of the cast and a little greener, so he adds an interesting dimension to the team that we think will play really well with the audience."
so basically like Avengers: United the Stand.
Question for you guys. How would you handle Falcons wings in Alive Action movie? For the most part his character works, but his take off has been bugging me. Should his wings just be more like gliders or is he able to boost himself upward off the ground sometime
yeah I posted the fight video 6 posts up.
My main concern is his propulsion. I'm sure the movie crew could give Falcon a costume that looked cool, and functional wings for live Action. His costume would probably have to get redesigned like Hawkeye's. He'd probably need gogles or some sort of Visor for his eyes, while he is flying.
My main concern was propulsion. I think an easy fix is to give him a jetpack like Xpac suggested, but personally I don't want to them to give him a big bulky Rocketeer type Jet pack. I'd like the movie to get creative with his propulsion. Maybe Sam's wings can gather/store solar energy and he can use that energy to boost himself into flight or something along those lines
They can always just go with uber comic book science... maybe the wings have some sort of anti-gravity thing going on, or maybe they hover via some sort of electr-magnetic whatever whatever.
Rocket pack is the simplest way to go, but if they want him to come off more as a bird than say a rocket, there are options there too.
Always been a fan of the Falcon, good to hear we'll be seeing more of him.

The rumor mill is now claiming that Falcon is explicitly being added to the Avengers show (despite not being in the movie like the rest of the cast) because Marvel studios wants to introduce him to a mainstream audience since he's definitely going to appear in one of the phase 2 movies.
