I wrote my review up on Hine's forum, but I'll post it here...

Oh yes, I got my copy! :D Of course I had to go to the city to get it since my LCS didn't have it. Though one thing that made me smile was that while my friend (who works at one of my LCS) was one the phone taking someone's order, I heard him say, "No, I'm sorry. We didn't get Bulletproof Coffin." So yes, there's demand!
Now, after all that pimping and excitement for this book, did it deliver for me... Ehhhh... heck yes!

I dug the hell out of this book. Upon initially reading, I had no idea what to make of it. We were transported into a strange and bizarre world and it was fun wondering what was already normal to the main character Steve. A pink dog with no genitals and wild hair? Is this normal in his world, or is reality already starting to break apart after discovering this strange home with the comics that shouldn't exist?
I absolutely loved the The Unforgiving Eye story. I was shocked at a lot of the stuff I was reading, and goodness gracious sweet Christmas, that final outcome of the strip. "Ryan Stark was Spineless! Let's just be thankful he didn't accuse him of being gutless!"
I have no idea where this book is going to go, even after reading all them interviews. We know
some of the old heroes of the Nugget Comics will be coming asking Steve for help as they're being assassinated one by one but just the bizarre world we're at in this point is just... wow. I can't wait! And those black and white killers, I'm assuming are Agents of the Big 2? I love them already.
Shaky Kane was awesome. After seeing this art for the past few years online, it's exciting to finally see his pages for this book finally in my hands and boy is it fun looking at it. As each page turns, I find myself staring and lingering on the pages longer even if his style is very simple. The flat colors he uses really pop and add some vibrant fun to pull you in.
While I mentioned initially I wasn't too sure what the fully make of the book, the article/essay at the end of the book was what really ran it fully home. I found myself chuckling and smiling at the history of the Nugget Comics and what happened to the creators, Hine and Kane, when Big 2 bought them out. The story of Hine selling out was very humorous along with Kane's disdain for it and avoiding everyone, becoming a recluse. Hine threatening to sue was priceless. I have to say, with the commentary about Hine "churning out crap" for the Big 2 made me feel

as I tend to like most of them.
A clear Image winner. I hope people check this out because it's a ton of fun and I want it collected and trade and get even more people to check it out! I can't wait for next month! It's great to hear Shaky Kane is already doing the art for #5 of the series. No delays!
