Default Manhunter in Streets of Gotham #5

    so, gang-

issue 5, already!, ships next week and, although i am usually loathe to hype my own stuff, i am extremely proud of this chapter. jeremy haun has, in 2 issues, distinguished himself as one of the premiere Manhunter artists (ably aided by John Lucas' beautiful inks).

i feel like we're really hitting our stride now and can tell you the next few chapters are gonna be crazy!

so, with all the competition for your comics' dollars, i appreciate you checking out "Streets of Gotham"!

    regards,
    marc

hey, keep up the good work! i've really been enjoying the second feature so far. wasn't familiar w/ the character at all before i picked up streets, and am enjoying the story and the art style.

    Oh, hi.
I got a question: is any of this ever going to get reprinted in some form?
Because while I love Manhunter I do not love it enough to pay €4 for 8 pages. And I do not love Paul Dini's writings at all.
It's been rather frustrating for me.

I don't suppose you could, like, transfer over to Secret Six or something?

'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."

Huntress is in the lead story! And written by Chris Yost!! 'll be checking it out!!

Manhunter the last couple issues has really picked up for me so I'm looking forward to it! I'm intrigued by "Jane Doe". Oh and Marc, last issue, I just loved that both Manhunter and Huntress were EXCITED to hear "gun-shots". That meant FIGHT! The artist captured their excitement wonderfully. That was priceless and LOL! I really like these two! You write them very well when they're sharing panel time!

Marc, I'm really digging the Manhunter backup and will be resisting the urge to skip out of work early on Wednesday for the next streets. :p

I'd also like to thank you for the generous Manhunter "starter" package you took the time and money to send my way. The sample I got has convinced me I missed out on a really good thing from several years ago. All of the trades from your run are ordered and on their way now. :)

With news that the Question backup-feature will be switching with Batwoman in 'TEC for a story arc down the road, do you think there is a possibility Kate Spencer may take lead for a story in a similar vein occasionally in Streets?

With Kate in Gotham, this is the perfect opportunity for the long-awaited Manhunter/Catwoman team-up!

that is an interesting question:) if mr. dini's schedule requires the need for a fill-in or two in the future, i would love to do it! who knows what the future holds?

LOVE Manhunter, Marc. I'm glad to see Helena being fun (even if she does have a hideous costume) and Kate being smart! Wondering when we'd get to Harvey, and DELIGHTED to see Dylan. I will never stop loving Kate's supporting cast <3

I'm wondering why Black Mask, though. He's such a generic, boring, uninteresting villain who normally gets me to drop my comics, but I have faith in you to make him not suck.

They are! If your shopkeeper doesn't have any shelf copies shake him until he does you can always ask him to order some in for you.

BIG THANKS again to marc for sending me some very cool issues of Manhunter free of charge.

Marc is a top dude. I welcome him writing comics for dc any day.

I have few regrets in my life, but one of those is all of the times I ignored Manhunter fans hyping their favorite series. To think of the years I missed out on this wonderful character and her story.

Thankfully, my love of Batman finally brought Kate and the brilliantly talented Marc Andreyko into my life, and it is my pledge that if there is ever a full length Manhunter ongoing again I will buy two copies every month just to show my support(three if she stays in Gotham).
