I'm not worried about him disappearing entirely. I never was. That comment really doesn't promise anything new though. Vision is still MIA.
And so help me if they decide to toss him on a 'cosmic' team book. I really...don't want that. :/

Freedom is the ability to live without fear of persecution. Nothing more, and certainly nothing less.
Vision arcs. That's a god question. I think John Byrne' s run on WCA was a god Vision arc. Issues 57 and 58 of Avengers is a classic. Other than those I can't remember any strict Vision arcs. Some single issues I like were Avengers 194, Avengers 183-185. This is the Wanda Quicksilver storyline. Lastly one of my favorite Avengers issues of all time: Avengers 166. It just shows how awesome Vision's power can be. Oh at issue 157 and 158.
Basically Englehart's whole run was an extended Vision arc. The Celestrial Madonna storyline showed a lot of Vizh's backstory and culminated in his wedding with Wanda. Ultimate Vision is another Vision centric arc that ran in Avgs #251 through #254 (#255 can also be seen as an epilogue). Harras and Epting's run also gave quite a lot of screen time to the Vision, giving him back his capability for emotions and ditching the pale, ghostly look for a more colourful one. And you also have a couple of mini-series alongside Wanda and a couple of solo minis, one of them by Geoff Johns soon to be reprinted.
Peace
I honestly think Byrne ended up helping Wanda and Simon in a lot of ways. It give Simon a direction (something he frankly had been lacking), while making Wanda more of an indepenent character from her marriage to Vision.
But there's no doubt it MAJORLY screwed over Vision. I do think Vision got a bit TOO humanized in recent years, and that's something that potentially needed to be corrected... but I think Byrne took that a bit too far.
The Avengers need Vison the same way the JL needs Martian Manhunter. The teams never seem complete withouth them. He will be back at some point I cannot imagine Someone will not find a use at some point. I just hope he does not take on the Red Tornado role in Young Justice and spend time as a mentor to the YA. That seems to be a waste.
Yes good call!
Ok maybe you're right. I was just saying that what Byrne did was highlight my 2nd favorite Marvel character of all time. He helped clear up (for me anyway) Vision's origin and the connection to Wonderman my 3rd favorite Marvel character. But as I write this I remember he destroyed Vision's personality, his awesome costume and Simon's costume, hair and managed to make him a self centered Asshole. One second thought I hated that WCA run!!
