In the latest Marvel Solicits for July show Herc: The complete series!! I would prefer this to be a hardcover, however, I'm not going to complain, I'm just glad Marvel is publishing it as a complete series. Now if we can get an Incredible Hercules Omnibus, were golden! :big grin:

But what chance does a mere mortal have against FEAR ITSELF’s army of monsters and super villains? Plus: when Spider-Island erupts, Hercules finds himself “infested” with spider-powers of his own. If this is true, it would be great to see Herc in EMH, hopefully more than just a background character; front and center and the spotlight of an episode!

I came across this just recently - Heroclix Chaos War edition! Amazing, obviously the series was good enough to spawn an edition into the Marvel Heroclix game. Now I don't have a full set list, maybe someone else knows where to find one, but I have found a partial list of figures.

The Marvel HeroClix Chaos War set list. This set is expected to release in June 2012 (Includes Full Set - 50+ figures, Fast Forces - 6 figures, and Primer/Gravity Feed - 10 figures):

Common: Captain America #001, Thor #002, Ultron Drone #003, Egghead #004, Lava Man #008, Dinah Soar #012, Vision #013

    Uncommon: TBA

    Rare: TBA

    Super-Rare: TBA

    Chase: TBA

Unknown Number / Rarity: Madame Mask #017, Max Fury #019, Black Knight #020, Speed #021, Sharon Carter #022, Iron Man #024, Nitro #025, Ant Man #026, Genis-Vell #027, Wolverine #029, Wasp #030, Spider-Woman #037, Thor #038, Hawkeye #039 (or #046), Loki #042, Kang #050, Chaos King #051, Ant Man and Wasp #053, Lockjaw and Hairball, Mockingbird, Sentry, Scarlet Witch, Ares, Baron Zemo, Crystal, Invisible Woman, Mr. Fantastic, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Man, Taskmaster, The Thing,

Fast Forces: Thor #005, Captain America, Iron Man, Mockingbird, Scarlet Witch, Wasp

Primer / Gravity Feed: Madame Masque, Ms. Marvel, Spider-Woman, Thor, Ultron Drone

    http://herominis.com/heroclix-full-set-lists.html

It does show the Shadow King and Ares as figures, but no mention of Hercules yet. Hopefully that'll change, since this was his series after all.

Over on IGN they are running a top 50 Avengers list. Herc made it to #21! Yeah, he should have been in the top 15, however, I'm thrilled to see him getting recognition, since we've seen so little of him lately.

    IGN

Oh, Ares made it to #39! Great showing by our two Olympians!

BTW don't forget to pick up Avengers Academy #29 tomorrow for some Hercules! He should be in issues 30 and 31 as well!

The Avengers Academy issues 29, 30 and 31 was a good story and a fun appearance by Hercules. I know the series is focused on the Academy kids, however I would have liked to see more involvement from Herc. Never the less, it showed Herc in a good light and a was overall fun.

I haven't read of any other appearance of Herc coming up in the next few months, so I'm hoping we get more soon!

So DC has just announced a new series in September called Sword in Sorcery, and it makes me want for a new regular series featuring Hercules! The basic premise of the DC series is Amethyst is the lead feature with a back up (assuming rotating) with Beowulf. This would be great for Herc. He could be the main feature focusing on his adventures and with a back up showcasing other Greek or other pantheon heroes/characters.

While there are some really good series out there right now from Marvel, DC and others, I can truly say I miss a regular Hercules series. Here's hoping something develops shortly after AVX.

Herc should always be a benchmark heavy-hitter. Sure, he jobbed Sentry by pulling his cape and killed the "He Loves Us" Skrull god before Bendis could finish his terrible "He Loves Us" epic disaster. But Herc is the original superhero in crudely recorded history, and he should always be an elite heavy-hitter.

Taking hits from Planet Hulk to show he was on Gang Green's side was pretty much the ultimate in invincibility.

i hope that Herc either becomes a permanent teacher with Avengers Academy or whoever takes over Avengers/New Avengers after Bendis puts Herc on one of those teams.

I miss Hercules! He should be a powerhouse in AvX! He has fought with the X-men and against them at different times that he would be a great character and someone who could offer views from both sides! Plus, it would great to see him in action on a regular basis!!

    Bring back Herc!!

OK, I feel better now, thanks!
