Also Clint is absolutely NOTHING like Punisher. He's been kinda moody in the past (see Hawkeye volume 2 and anything with the armored Hawkeye look) but it wasn't until lately that he's been portrayed as such a whiny b***. He's like the Han Solo of the Avengers. He's a sarcastic bastard with a smart mouth. He's had some issues with insecurity in his ability (enter Goliath), but for the most part he's pretty arrogant. He's a joker, but not like Spider-Man. He's much more sarcastic planting subtle jabs at foes' lameness with a smug smirk pasted on his face. He's got a hot temper that often gets him in situations that are out of his supposed league, but he can also be level headed, especially when he leads. And he is the first to put himself in danger in order to help a friend or loved one.
i almost think it might be beneficial for Bullseye to kill Trickshot; to signal that he's not Hawkeye's #1 villain. Trickshot's a great opponent. but he's also old (not to mention out of shape). and, yeah, Clint is nothing like the Punisher.

Yeah, Bullseye killing Trickshot would pretty much solidify him as Clint's Dark Rival where as Crossfire is Clint's Arch-Nemesis.

Trickshot was a good antagonist at times, but there really aren't many stories left to tell with him. It'd be nuts to see a new Swordsman though... someone with a connection to Jacques.

Crossfire, Phantom Rider, Bullseye, Swordsman... that'd be one helluva good start for a Hawk/Mock rogues gallery. Throw in some guest appearances by Taskmaster, a revived Graviton, or other Avengers rogues to bring in some kickass guest stars like Black Knight, Iron Man, War Machine, Wonder-Man, etc

Daredevil still has Kingpin and Mister Fear to contend with.
Or maybe it's the fact Hawkeye is underrated. Has he gotten a big Gwen Stacy moment yet. He need's his own comic again. With the right writer he would be splendid. Come on get the Purple Archer back in his own comic again.

he should keep Augusta Seger/The Albino as an enemy, as well. he needs some more cerebral foes. and i hate to mention it but they should really do something with that wolf kid that Hawkeye used to "mentor." you know who i'm talking about. they could either make him a threat or have him killed off to build up another one of Clint's foes. but i hate loose ends.

Agreed loose end's are baneful, and one the same level of saying screw continuity to make sequels.

The french Cyclone is still active? He annoyed Clint a lot in Thunderbolts. Would be cool if he returns as his enemy.

lol, of course I already have a subscription . 12 issues of awesomeness... and hopefully many many more. You are my hero, btw. It's about time somebody treated the Avenging Archer and his awesome bride with some respect. Can't wait for the inevitable WCA reunion. Clint, Rhodes, and Simon being imo the 'Big Three' of the Wackos... it'd be rad as hell to see them kickin teeth in together again.

too true. what ever happened to it, anyway? I'd REALLY like to see a rematch between Clint and Taskmaster. Maybe even have Cassie (as much as I'm not a huge fan of her) show up to pay homage to the classic team-up between Clint and her old man.

Also, like I said, since there's gonna be a new Phantom Rider in town, might as well make a new Swordsman to boot. That'd be one helluva addition to the rogues gallery. Someone new, but has ties to the original. and completely bat-shit crazy. Maybe a villain to take up the Ronin mantle would be interesting. I'd love to see Clint kick the sh** outta the ninja gimp gimmick while dressed up in the purple again.

Some other folks that'd be nice to see duke it out with Clint and Bobbi:
    Grim Reaper (enter Wonderman cameo)
Crusader (religious zealout and terrorist leader... enter W.C.A.)
Tinkerer (with an army of robots for Clint and Bobbi to blow up)
Shocker (Clint's sarcastic jokes would be awesome while fighting quilt-man)
Purple Man (it'd be a nice change of pace to fight a mind controlling f*** like Killgrave)
Thunderball (serious powerhouse with a brain to boot)

Is Trick Shot a case of where he's faster than he look's. He look's more like he's built for being a bruiser.

Not in the way the Wrecking Crew is. He's had some pretty classic stories (though it has been a long while since then) and should be a major threat when he shows up. Of course, he's really a Wonder Man villain and Wondy hasn't been used that much lately.

So when he fought the Avenger's he's considered a deadly threat?

I'd say it depends on how he's used. In the past, he's been used as a major threat for the Avengers. Maybe not on par with Ultron, Kang and Loki, but I think definitely in the second tier.

Of course, it also depends how they're used lately -- the Wrecking Crew were a big threat at one point too before they started to be used to show how tough Hero X was by taking them down repeatedly. They're really characters someone should turn into a threat again...

I would say yes. Alone or with henchmen or with his Undead legion, Grim Reaper has been used as a primary threat to the Avengers on several occasions. He has a certain villainous flair that probably makes him unpopular of late, but I have hopes for a return in the Heroic age.
