Anyone else think Kate Bishop needs to make an appearance in the Hawk/Mock book?
I'd like to see her make a cameo at least

I think it'd be neat if they incorporated a sort of Hawkeye/Mockingbird family. Some awesome characters that are integral to the Mythos of Hawkeye and Mockingbird besides the obvious W.C.A.
Hawkeye
Mockingbird
Kate Bishop
Trickshot
War Machine
(a new or possibly revived) Swordsman
to start.
I'd love to see some cameos from the rest of the Avengers West team, as well as Ka-Zar, the Thunderbolts (Especially Moonstone and Songbird) Black Knight, Black Widow, etc.
Also, what if Kate's new codename was as the new Trickshot? I think that'd be rad, and the name would fit her better I think, considering it's such a spunky little persona, for a female teenage Hawkeye.

Yeah, I'd love to see her appear in the book in some capacity (so long as it's a positive role, and not a character assassination job like McCann pulled with Surge over in the Nation X anthology). They could even have her as the star of a back-up feature, similar to the Nomad stories in Captain America. Have Brukbaker or Fraction write it, and it would definitely be cool. There's a lot of good character stuff they could do with Kate, either as a supporting character or in a back-up story, and her student/mentor relationship with Clint really needs some more panel time.
Well, one of the things that i like about both characters is that they are interesting individuals in their own right, and don't necessary need to be called Hawkeye to be great characters and superheroes. Clint is cool as Hawkeye, Ronin, Goliath..heck, if he were to assume the persona of the Bombastic Bag-Man full-time, he'd still be pretty awesome. Kate, meanwhile, essentially went through the entire original run of Young Avengers with no code name whatsoever; the Hawkeye moniker is simply the fantastic icing on an already badass cake.
That being said, I do like having Kate as Hawkeye. Marvel shouldn't be Highlander, there doesn't have to be only one, and her losing the name seems like a big step backwards, and I doubt they could do it without restoring to some really stupid characterization or plot contrivences. Agibn, just my opinion.
I'm with you on that.
I like the idea of Kate Bishop, I'm just not fond of her codename.
Clint Barton IS Hawkeye as far as I'm concerned.
I would also love to see Kate interact more with Clint/Bobbi too. But, then again I want to see Speed and Quicksilver race... so, there ya go.
"The sum of the square roots of any two sides of an isosceles triangle is equal to the square root of the remaining side. Oh joy! Rapture! I got a brain!" -Ray Bolger as The Scarecrow in The Wizard of Oz.
That has it dead-on. I really liked Kate Bishop when she was introduced. I still like her in theory... but every time they call her Hawkeye I get annoyed.
Since Crossfire is back, I'd like to see Ringleader, and the Death Throws back. They helped Crossfire escape from police custody before, so he should bring them back.
Plus Bobcat would be cool to see brought back. He was a mercenary paid by Crossfire to get Hawkeye.
Bullet Biker would also be cool to see brought back. He was a mercenary criminal who once worked at the same carnival as Hawkeye, so they have a lot of history together. Also hired by Crossfire to get Hawkeye's arm.
Boomerang, a new Blind Justice, the Brothers Grimm, and Batroc would also be cool villains to see in the new Hawk, & Mock book. Hangman, Griffin, and a new Jagged Bow would be pretty cool to see.
Anyway Hawkeye has a lot of pretty cool villains that could be brought back, so maybe some of these will make a come back.

that would be me![]()
Thanks for not hating my suggestion lol
but yeah, I'm not totally against her being called Hawkeye. But it just seems like she would be the lesser of two Hawkeyes. Granted their both pretty awesome. I want to see her either cameo or even be a regular supporting character for this series.

I actually expect to see Kate Bishop show up, its just a matter of when. I've been thinking that maybe he would take on a more mentoring role with her. We could see him training her in the book, and on occasion he'd bring her along with Bobbi, and him. Maybe not, but I think that could work out pretty cool. She'd make a great supporting character for the book.
