Some of my favorite/most interesting takes on Wanda the Scarlet Witch.

Clockwise from top left: *Best take on the "evening gown" costume, not so superhero-y but I can see it working for a "Sorceress Supreme"/Mystic Avenger direction. *X-men Evolution Wanda - accomplished what the series set out to do, captured a youthful version of the character that is very much in touch with the style of the moment. * Redesign for the CROSSING storyline (Joe Madureira): a nice departure from what had come before that didn't last. * Circa Geoff John's run on Avengers (with Scott Kolins, Oliver Coipel et al on art), a nice steampunky revamp, perhaps most in line with the house style for costumes these days. I especially liked the hooded cloak and the leggings. *A moody piece featuring the short haired Witch by Mignola *The George Perez Gypsy look. One of those suits that Perez can get away with, but probably not many other artists.* *I like the kitch factor for the initial look for SW in the Heroes Reborn universe (even though its Churchill doing a Liefeld design. Would make a neat suit to construct for cosplay *Alan Davis retooling of the "Gypsy look" that Perez introduced. A nice integration of some of those elements with a more functional traditional look. . *Classic Wanda from OHTMU entry.

Befriend maybe, or ignore. Certialy not kill or date. I suppose it really depends on what the eventual outcome of Children's Crusade is. If Marvel wants to redeem her then befriending Vision would be a good option.

    Kill? no.
    Date? no.
    Ignore? Probably not possible.
Befriend? Awkward, but the best option available here.

I'm kind of leaning toward kill, guys, but the Avengers probably might not let it go the second time.
Ignoring him would be hard if those kids are real. I'd like her to marry SteveCap, so I guess I must also choose friendship.

She should have been higher than 55. No single person has had a greater effect on the Marvel Universe.

Anyway, It's weird that there isn't another character like her as far as her attitude and spirit. I was pretty indifferent to the character for the most part, but she was always a really nice kind spirited person that was always there for anyone in the avengers. Thats one thing I did like about Bendis' portrayal of the situation and the feelings of guilt cap had. People tend to never pay attention to the problems of the friends that are always there for them if said friend isn't making a scene or quietly going about their business.

Really liked the issue after disassembled where Ms. Marvel said she would never forgive Wanda and Janet said "She would Forgive you." and even Ms. Marvel acknowledged that.

Also whats with the sudden interest in the Scarlet Witch this week in the Avengers and X-Men boards.

Have to agree, they don't make heroines like that anymore. it's a big reason why scarlet witch and sue storm are two of my favorite heroines. They are the ones with the biggest hearts IMO.

I agree that the Witch's heart is one of the things that made her one of the most likeable characters in Marvel for four decades. In fact, she is probably the most relatable of the Avengers and played the everyman role for most of their history.

I really hope she does develop a relationship with her children(at least with Wiccan). He just seems so vulnerable at the moment. I hope she can help him.
