The scene actually involves the whole team in the Avengers training room. It begins with other characters but essentially turns into another Rogue v Wanda tête-à-tête.
Long and short of it, Wanda essentially agrees with Alex. She says people hear the word "mutant" and they automatically think of Magneto destroying New York, or Scott going nuts on the world with the Phoenix. So now they've made a prejudgment on her without knowing her just because the word "mutant" is one of many things that can be used to describe her. They mention several times that mutant is just like race, culture, gender, etc. They're all things that make up a person but each person is till an individual independent from stereotypes and perceptions.
Wanda said she wants to be seen as a person, not just a mutant.
