Wasp Appreciation

While I disagree that Jocasta is a bad character, I agree that Mighty Avengers was terrible.

I like Slott (and I like Bendis etc.) but the ENTIRE run was terrible.

I really want to get into the Avengers, but sadly Janet was the only member who interested me. Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, Hulk...they are of no interest to me, and with Janet gone it feels like I wont be able to learn about her character in current stories, so I was hoping if someone could tell me issues I should featuring Janet in them. This would be a good start to me learning more about her character...I just loved her in both Ultimate Avengers films.

I was reading some early Avengers comics and it was great how much a personality Janet had even early on. Such a sharp tongue. In one issue she kept ragging the team on why they didn't have one permanent leader because they spent too much time arguing about who's going to be the leader this time and Cap was like "because it's more democratic that way!". She said about Kang "I bet he's not that bad looking behind that ridiculus helmet he wears!". I'm surprised after a while Thor and the rest didn't tell her to shut her mouth.

I'm fine with Jan being gone until Bendis is no longer writing the Avengers. He never got her, and I'd hate to see her butchered more under his pen.

I was generally fine with his Janet, he just put that whole bossy/leadership aspect of her more towards the back burner.

U mean the the title and power set he gave her, a title and power set he basically already had as Yellow Jacket (which is a Wasp). He's not trying to be Jan, nor is he really doing anything different then what he's always been doing since Ant-Man. He's still more Hank Pym then "Wasp" really, just trying to give "Wasp" a legacy and keep her name going.

Please do not speak down to me, I know full well who gave Wasp her abilities so save your sarcastic comments for someone who cares. I spoke my peace and trying to poke holes in it really does nothing but make me less enthused to start a conversation with you.

His Janet was awful. She did nothing of value, other than die lamely at the end of Secret Invasion.
