Not really. The 2nd issue wasn't bad...story revolved around Thor more or less successfully talking down a man with a bomb who was holding an auditorium full of hostages, so like the 3rd it at least offered the charm of novelty, and I'd rate the artwork as for the most part better than the 3rd's occasionally sweet but somewhat quirky rendering. *sigh* Even with the writing everywhere except Journey Into Mystery making me wish for a  smiley, I'd still rate the Coipel and Immonen artwork in the other books as more worth the price of admission.
Mostly moved on to fanfiction.net...
He's been a brute on and off for years depending on how hard the writer pushed the 'warrior' side of him. Just look at The Reigning for that whole aspect taken to the extreme to show the degradation of the character. There are times that Thor is unrecognisable from Stan's dignified, poetic hero.
He's always been better written by writers who understand he is a god and he is a man and made his character broader.
thor and kid loki
That's how you write Thor.
Noble, powerful and never backing down even when the odds are outrageously against him.
He is the original GIANT KILLER.
